Hi Everyone,

Can someone tell me what is the usual waiting time after you are placed in "Case in is line for an interview"

Here is my timeline:

NBC
Case received: 11/04/2016 (online status and official letter)
Biometrics done: 12/16/2016 (online status and official letter)
Case in line for an interview: 12/21/2016 (online status)

No more updates after that.

I appreciate any help!

Thank you all!

N-400 LA County
I applied in LA district office, received acceptance notice in July 14, biometric was done in August and have not received anything since then. I have talked to officer 2 a few times, and I have been told they are reviewing the cases from May. Last time I called I was told I am in line for interview since August and the officer submitted an inquiry for me. I haven't received anything since then.

Does anybody has similar situation or has someone been called for interview from LA office?

Thanks

Process has taken almost a year :(
My process seems to be one in a kind, it has almost been a year since USCIS received my application and I have NOT received an appointment for an interview.

2/26/2016- Application received
3/22/2016- Biometrics appointment
After that I was already very worried during the months of August, Septemeber, and October. I called multiple times and the officers would just tell me to wait, and there was nothing they could do. Apparently during that time the office local to me was still working on applications that were sent during the last months of 2015. So i waited... and waited.. and waited.

Finally got an update on 11/21/2016 (Monday). I got a message and my online application status changed to " Your case is in line for an interview". Exactly the Friday before this day the processing times for my area changed to "they were reviewing March applications" outside mine, but I got that update, so called again. They said the same thing- I had to wait.

Around December decided to call again and do an inquiry request, it was around 3pm (Pacific time) they said all the level two officers were not taking any more calls. Called the next day at 8am (when they open) spoke with someone, told me they could not process my inquiry request, transferred me to a level two officer, who was not available so left a message for someone to call me back. They call me back 2 hours later, and to hear the same thing they could not do anything because it had not been 60 days from my last update. She did not even offer to do an inquiry request because i needed to wait those 60 days, if after that time I did not hear anything to contact them..

1/18/2017- Decide to call again, this time the representative finally acknowledges that my application has taken a LONG time and way outside the normal processing time, it sounds like the office local to me is already reviewing applications sent in July 2016. She helps me do an inquiry request and I will hear a response in 15-30 days. SO MORE WAITING!

This process has been extremely stressful for me! I have never ever done anything, pay my taxes every year. Never committed a crime, not even been pulled over EVER!

I have no idea why is taking so long, I wish they could tell me a concrete answer on why, at least it will give me peace of mind to know there is something "wrong". No answer, is the worst thing ever.

Sorry all for the LONG message, I just felt like i needed to let it out of my chest.

PS: I live in San Diego County.

Interview and Oath Ceremony
Had interview this morning. Everything went well. The interview lasts about 15 minutes. Will participate oath ceremony this afternoon at 2:30pm. It's done.

Here is my timeline:
11/03/2016: Priority date
11/11/2016: Fingerprint appointment was scheduled
12/1/2016: Fingerprint was done
12/9/2016: Interview was scheduled
1/19/2017: Passed interview and participate oath ceremony

The whole process takes a little less than three months. Not too bad. Good luck to everybody!

N400
Received date : July 1, 2016
Priority date: July 1, 2016
Fingerprinting : Nov. 18, 2016
Field office: Portland, Or.

Never heard from them until now. It's been 7 months since I lodged my application. My friends lodged their applications in 2015 took only 5 months to process. Any idea why 2016 processing time takes soooooo long?

Texas US Citizenship Application
Background, I'm a US Citizen. My wife and I applied for her citizenship. I'm a engineer and she's a practicing physician in the U.S.

Timeline:

07/25/2016: Applied to Dallas field Office
08/03/2016: Got letter for fingerprint appointment
08/13/2016: Biometrics Complete

Nothing since then!

I'm a bit worried, not sure if they have too much work at the Texas office or what is going on.

Anyone else going through this?
