Outside Travel When waiting for Citizenship process
Hi,

I applied for my US Citizenship in Dec 2020 and the Estimated Case time shows as 5 months. I would have to visit India and stay there till my citizenship interview is scheduled to take care of my Mother In Law. Would my stay outside US this time affect in getting the citizenship ? Please advise, if anyone has such experience.

Thanks

N400 Citizenship
Hello Dear Friends

We super senior citizens applied N400 for citizenship , the applications were received on Feb 25, 2021 but receipt from USCIS was received with March 25th date. So far there is no movement in the status and it still states 9 months estimated time and keeping our fingers crossed. Just I would like to know whether anyone applied from Folsom, Sacramento County, CA in the same period, if so did they receive any Interview call. Secondly I also would like to know , whether I can call USCIS and request them to process for our Interview due to our age as early as possible , since we are very old and we do not know how long we stay. Is there a way to contact and is there any special consideration for Super seniors. Grateful, if I can get some information from Immihelp N400 citizenship forum group

Registering to Vote, and traffic ticket before oath ceremony
Hi guys,
1) I’m scheduled for my oath ceremony next week and I’ll be renewing my drivers license on the same day, can I register to vote at the same time while renewing DL or should I wait some time?

2) Also, after years of no incidents I just got a traffic ticket before my ceremony :( I’d like to plea not guilty, go to court to have it reduced to a smaller offense to avoid points on my license and pay the penalty… Would doing this and having this open ticket create a problem like not being allowed to have my ceremony until this is resolved? Should I just go pay this ticket without contesting it and get the points on my license? Do they ask for proof of payment at check-in if someone had a traffic ticket between the interview and the oath ceremony? It’s a red light worth 3 points. Just my luck…

N 400 Naturalization Interview results
Day before yesterday, I had my interview done and at the end I got N 652 mentioning checkmark on two items
*** You passed the English test, the US history and Government test.
*** A decision can not be made yet about your application.

When I asked her about that she said you have passed everything but she has to make sure about My DUI on the website and update later and she further said I will hear back from them about the oath ceremony in 2 to 4 weeks.

Just to let you know I had a DUI back in 1997 when I was an international student and the case was dismissed later after I paid my fine and did forty hours of community service and nobody was hurt in the incident and I even got it expunged in 2017 It all happened in Oklahoma state and I now live in Houston texas and it was misdemeanor at that time. I presented her all the proofs I mentioned here, please give your professional advise

Thank you,

N400 interview based on 3 years of marriage to US citizen.
Hello everyone,
This forum has helped me so much and now I am at the last step on this long journey. I got my N400 interview letter and my interview is on October 19.

Can you please tell me if I need to bring my spouse with me ? Letter did not mention anything about her. It only says that I have to bring her citizenship certificate and our marriage certificate and other documents.

Please suggest
Thanks

N-600 Experiences Anyone?
I submitted the N-600 application for my minor child exactly 2 months ago (Receipt Date: 3-Jul-2021). My USCIS processing center is Sacramento, CA

I haven't received the appointment letter for the biometrics yet, just wondering what is the processing time for N-600 applications / any experiences on N-600 process?
Don't see much posts on N-600 experiences in this forum...

(Funny or Sad) story about Senator office immigration help
I was waiting for my naturalization decision for 6 months after interview and since I didn't get any decision, I sent an inquiry to my senator office and they replied that they submitted inquiry to the USCIS. After 3 day I got my naturalization approved and I have Oath ceremony and I thought it was due my senator's follow up. Today, 3 weeks after my Oath ceremony, I received an update for the Senator Office that USCIS is still reviewing my case and they can't give any update and I have to wait for 8 more months.

I don't know it's funny or sad, but it's real. It shows how disorganized is the whole system. God helps immigrants
