At the age of 14 my father an my bother went to united states. Well we was there my father located some hard to get ford part's in the united states in which he send back to is company so instead of spending 2 weeks we spend 5 months during the time me and my bother add to go to school and we were helping to cut cost for is company so we went school and a b1/b2 visa. 1years after returning to the united states my B1/B2 usa visa was canceled by the officer i did not over stay my 6 mouths i stayed 5mouths we can back home an the next plane back to Jamaica he said we can try back at any time now i try back for my visa

1 question visa interview (B1/B2)
I applied for B1/B2 visa at US Embassy Riyadh. Completed DS160 online, paid my visa SR608 at SAMBA, bring documents during my interview (DS160 confirmation page, SAMBA receipt, employment letter, photo, bank statement, appointment confirmation, travel insurance, flight booking, old & new passports, exit/reentry visa, copy of iqama).
the interview:
Me: good morning how are you today! (with a smile), note: I greeted the Visa officer first
VO: im good, and u?
Me: im good as well
Then the VO scanned my passport and DS160, quickly read my employment letter and the first page of my bank statement.
VO: so why would you like to go the USA
Me: for toursim and I wanna visit a friend of mine who used to work here in KSA but now he's there
VO: ok thank you!
Me: (then i waited for the next question after few seconds) that's all?
VO: yes! thank you (gesturing me that the interview is finish)
Me: ah OK thank you!
then after 3 days i received an sms from Aramex saying that my passport is ready for collection, when i opened my passport the B1/B2 visa is there valid for 10 years, I was so happy ;-))

B2 visa base on wife B1 visa
Firstly Thanks for immihelp.
I filled up D160 form and checked visa type B1/B2 as subcategory dated 2nd Sept 2014, and took visa interview dates in VFS on sept 9 and 10 sept.
I went 9th sept for bio-metrics interview,Delhi and after checking confirmation page and appt letter,they suggested me to change my name on application form because I don't have SURNAME on passport,So I checked application form as well as visa subcategory(changed as B2) and resubmit(take new confirmation page) on run-time by cyber cafe which near to office.
Visa interview was on 10 sept ,main interview and I was too nervous.
Visa Office : GM:
Me : GM
VO : Passport Pls
Me: handed over.
VO: Why do you want to travel to US
Me: Tourism purpose and to accompany my wife .
VO :- Why she is going
Me:- she is going to official visit.

Hi All,
I really hope i get answers to my questions through immihelp. My husband is travelling on B1 for 2 weeks and i would like to accompany him so i have applied for B2. My only purpose to visit US is tourism, visit a US city with my husband and then come back home after 2 weeks. My job and whole family is in india only so i have all the reasons to come back but my only issue is that how do i convince the VO for this as i am working and <30 yrs old and i am not going to US to visit any relatives just on vacation. I really don't want to get rejection :-(. Please advice..

I applied in London, make sure you fill your ds160 accurately and keep a copy of it for your personal reference and you can always read it to be aware of what they could ask you.

I wanted to thank Immihelp and all the people who take thier time out and post thier experiances,it really helps a lot.
My parents had thier Visa interview at Mumbai consulate and it finally got Approved after 2 Rejections for my Father and 1 Rejection for my Mother.It is really unbelievable but true.
Our case was hard because my brother and me we both are here and we had full chance for getting a 214(b).Fortunately everything went well.So this might be of little hope for someone similar to our case.

NEVER TELL A LIE
Its my request to all the applicant s that donot tell a lie about any fact.the VOs are very nice and noble persons.They are there to grant us VISAs.But our attitude and behaviour counts duiring the INTERVIEW.Just be confident and one more thing is never argue with VOs,Because any argument by one person makes impact on the result of next 10 applicants who have no fault,So be respectfull to the VOs.Anybody have any query most welcome.....Best of LUCK to all applicants......
