Re apply after rejection
Hello all. I need your advice pertaining to re application after being denied a US B2 visa. I had applied a few weeks back but unluckily was not granted. I was handed the 214 denial paper. During the interview, the officer asked me what my reason was, so I told him I wanted to visit NY for a few days. It was mentioned during our convo that I have an American boyfriend of almost 2 years and that we will both be paying for the entire trip and stay. The other things mentioned during our talk were the following:
> Occupation: Supervisor in a Casino
> Personal: I have a son
> What countries I have been to: told him all the places I had been to

The officer was grumpy the whole time, sighing every time before or after he said something. Even before the first two applicants before me. The one before me got denied too, but I didn't listen to their convo. It was a frustrating day!

I only wanted to see NY with my BF for at least 12 days. I cant stay there for too long cause I have a job to do back home.

I have no idea which part has made him give me the refusal. Anyways, I'd like to see if anyone here can give your expert advice on when I should re apply and what I should do when I re-apply. On the blue letter it says to show stronger ties to my home and to show changes in my circumstances.

I would truly appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.

Travel to India while H1B extension with amendment is pending
My current H1B visa expires on Sep 25,2019 and my employer has already filed an extension application under regular processing 1 month back ( already got the receipt with case number). The application also includes an amendment since my job title changed along with the responsibilities and salary. The employer, work location remain the same.

I want to travel to India during Dec 1 through 16 2018 Therefore i will be exiting and re-entering on existing valid H1B visa.

Since this is an amendment and extension application (not a normal extension), will it be considered abandoned if i travel to India ?
Do I need to resubmit the i-94 again to USCIS when I come back ?
Will there be issue in change is status or similar ?

Please clarify if anyone has been in a similar situation.

B1/B2 Visa interview experience of my parents at Mumbai Consulate in Marathi
Thanks to immihelp! This site helped me a lot in all my visa till date. I am in US on H1B and I have applied for B1/B2 visa for my parents. Initially i had rescheduled their bio-metrics and interview in September. They have completed their bio-metric but they could not be able to go for interview because they have to go back to my home town due to family emergency. So i tried to reschedule for their interview alone but i have reached number of rescheduling eligibility(Meaning i have already rescheduled their visa dates 5 times). You can not reschedule the appointments more than 5 times so be careful when you schedule the appointments. I had call with us travels docs and I explained them my situation. they asked me to start the DS-160 application all over again for them pay the fee again and schedule it. So i filled their DS-160 for both. One DS-160 for my dad and one for my Mom. Then I took bio-metric date as 26th of Oct 2018 and bio-metrics on 29th of Oct 2018. They have completed their bio-metrics easily because they have done bio-metrics in September. I have sent them all documents based on below information provided on google.
My parents Names has small spelling mistake on both of their passport but we have proper documents to explain it so we did not face any issue with it.

Copy of work visa approval notice ( H1B, I-797A).
Copy of Passport, Visa stamped on passport.
Copy of I-94. (You can print it at DHS CBP I-94 website)
Current Employment verification letter
Copy of Bank statements from last 6 months.
Bank Account verification/ balance letter.
Copies of last three salary statements/ pay slips.
Copies of last year Tax Returns –W2 forms ( if applicable).
DS forms (if you have filled it and signed the same)

They had interview on 29th of Oct 2018 at 8:45 am at Mumbai consulate. They reached before 10 minutes and they have got two translator one for my mom and one for dad. They both went together. Below are the questions asked by Mumbai consulate to my dad only and he did not ask any question to my mom.

1. Who is there in US?
answered:- My Younger son.
2. what your son do in USA?
answered:- Software engineer.
3. Who is his employer?
answered:- XYZ inc.
4. How many kids you have and what they do?
answered: 4 Kids and told translator what they do.
5.Where does your son stay in US?
answered:- they told my home address.
6. how much you earn per year?
answered:- 2 lacs per annum.
7. who will pay for your trip?
answered:- my son will take care of the expenses.

After asking all above questions to my dad. He answered all questions to translator in Marathi. Consulate said your visa has been approved and you will get it in next 2 to 3 days.
