Hi All,

I need your help. I have B1/B2 visa and have travelled twice to US on business visa B1. I will be travelling again to US in July and want to take my wife along with me on B2 visa.

Kindly suggest what will be best possible reason for her B2 visa. Tourism or she can say to accompany me on my business visit. Can she say that me and my wife are planning to go for tourism purpose and show my B1/B2 visa. Also my wife is a house wife how can she show good ties to home country. Also will it be helpful if i get a sponsor letter from one of her friend who will be calling her to USA for tourism?

Please suggest the best way to present this and all required documents for interview for my case.

Thanks in advance.

My dad has very good financial standing in terms of retirement savings, house, property. He has also visited australia, dubai etc. All his siblings reside in India. My dad would like to visit US now for tourism. How would he need to prepare for his visitor visa interview. Would having both children abroad cause any issues for getting a us visa. Please suggest.

Visa Approved B2
I have been to USA multiple times in past. Also a PR of Canada. I made a mistake in my DS 160 hence I took a new DS 160 with me but was registered in old DS 160

Interview today morning at Mumbai Consulate

VO was a nice young lady

VO: Pls give me your passport
Me: Passport passed

VO: So you have been to US before?
Me: Yes, multiple times

VO: How many times?
Me: I don't remember because it was many times.

VO: Can I see your old passport?
Me: Old Passport passed, also said that I made a mistake in the DS 160 form which is being used right now

VO: What mistake?
Me: Replied. It was a genuine mistake where I entered incorrect document numbers
VO: It should not matter, its fine

VO: When did you come back to India
Me: Replied (About 7 years ago), with month and year

VO: Whats your educations?
Me: Replied (College from USA)

VO: Which College?
Me: Replied University Name

VO: Where do you work ?
Me: Replied with Employer Name

VO: What do you work?
Me: Replied with job description and designation

VO: Whats your purpose of travel?
Me: Visiting friends and relatives from Canada

VO: Are you married?
Me: I am Single

VO: How did you become a PR of Canada
Me: I went through the official immigration program of Canadian govt. (Skilled Workers- Express Entry)

VO: Ok Sir, your visa has been approved, you may pick up from your chosen location in 2-3 working days
Me: Thanks

I carried many documents, including bank statement, property documents, financial investment documents,

My advice to the applicants, please do not apply for visa if your intentions are to stay in USA and violate the terms. Be truthful in your replies. The VO are heavily trained in behavioral science and they can catch a lie from your voice, and body language. The rest of the decision is based on your profile, if you have been to USA before, then did you overstay, or violated the terms. If applying for a university/student visa then its what university? Is is worth for an Indian student to go and invest money in that university?

Also if you work for a reputable employer, the less likely you are violate the visa terms because you have a lot to lose by doing that kind of a thing

Also you don't need to memories a single thing if you are saying the truth. I memorized reply can be easily detected by anyone

You don't need to go through any non-sense visa consultants at least for simple visitor visa or student visa. The users over here who are posting links or numbers of consultants are paid users or the consultants themselves trying to use this forum as free advertisement.

Last but important advise, dress and groom properly. If you are a male then wear dress shirt, slacks and necktie of suitable color. If woman, dress conservatively in decent clothes and colors. It does make a difference. Proper hair cut and shaving. Keep fashion for outside, not for interviews

B2 VISA approved second time for MIL
My MIL B2 VISA approved second time. Widow, denied first time with 214(b). The difference with first time was, we have approached visa consultant "http://www.visavikings.in/" they helped her to prepare well for interview, documentation, arranging documents and building confidence in her by conducting counseling and mock interviews.

This is my personal opinion that my MIL could get B2 VISA due to the preparation given by http://www.visavikings.in/
