Hi, i was in US embassy for visa stamping but after the interview for H1 -B visa the interviewer handed me a blue pamphlet with 11 digit case number and asked me to e-mail the documents on the email id provided with the subject as "CASE NUMBER" but I am unable track my status after entering this 11 digit case number and it is showing invalid case number.Can somebody please help me to clear my doubt that how many digits are exactly there in case number provided and how to get the correct case number?

I went for my H1B interview on the 3rd of Jan 2019 at the Delhi Consulate.
Background:MS done and employed for last 8 month.
Questions asked by VO:
1. My employers name
2. Salary
3. What does my employer/company work on.
4. The product that I work on in the company.
She then handed me back all of my documents and asked me to proceed to another Window.
At that window another person, collected my Passport and handed me a 221G white slip.
All the basic fields such as resume, research details, employer details, travel, employment verification letter, travel funding,etc were checked.
The guy at the window said that they need additional documents in an email before they can go ahead with the further processing of my Visa. He said once processed & approved the visa will be stamped on my passport and sent to me (at the collection center).
Edit 1: The case got updated on 27th feb, then on 28th Feb and finally issued on the 1st of March 2019. No communication about passport collection yet.

My wife went for H4 visa interview on 2/21/19 @ 11.45am
VO- Good Morning, give me your passport?
Wife- gave passport
VO- saw F2 visa stamp in passport and asked did you study in USA?
Wife- replied no i did not study in USA, i was on F2 dependent visa
VO- checked husband's H1B receipt in system, and then VO asked did your husband have gap in OPT? because if he was on F1 and then converted to H1B, making sure there are no gaps.
Wife- replied no he didn't have any gaps, he was on F1-OPT then, got H1B
VO-Retained wife's passport and gave 221g-blue slip which is marked as "Your Application is refused for Administrative Processing. The application will be reconsidered when administrative processing is complete". Also, said we need to do administrative processing and gave case number and said it is normal procedure and we will get back to you shortly once we have verified all info on our side.
APPROVED on 2/26,collected on 3/1

My timeline for 221-G goes as following
Jan 29th- Documents submitted
Jan 31st- Application created and received
Feb 4th- Passport ready for pick up
Feb 5th- Got 221-g green slip, asked to appear for the interview
Feb 6th- Appeared for the interview, faced few normal job related questions. Visa is approved.
Since then, DS-160 status for me shows as Administrative Processing. Ustravedocs website shows passport has been picked up as my passport is with embassy now Does anyone go through this recently? How many days does it usually take?

Appeared for interview on feb 6. I went to US in h4 status and did a COS to h1 and this is my first h1 stamping since I left India. I am working in EC model in a big company.VO asked for end client letter I told her as per the policy my client does not provide letters. She took i797,w2s, SOW and gave a yellow note and told me to wait. I think she scanned the documents. After that she gave a blue slip with a case number and told to track my case online. No additional documents were requested. It’s 3 weeks now and I am still waiting.
Also my husband who is in 7th year on his H1 submitted documents using Dropbox and he was asked to appear for interview on 12 feb, In the interview they asked for client letter and same was provided,He also got same blue slip not sure why he got blue slip since in March 2018 he appeared for interview,and got visa stamped,there is no change in employment or client or anything else...we both work in same American MNC.
