Got a 221g sheet without any instructions for submitting additional documents after the interview (which in my opinion went well). Officer said we have narrow window within which visa can be approved so the officer stamped not clearly approvable on my I129s. Since then the status is showing administrative processing.

My daughter applied for US Visa F1 for Masters in Aerospace. She was asked some questions and then was informed that she has to wait for some period as AP is required. She couldn't get the Visa in Aug'18 and had to defer to Jan'2019. Now in Jan'2019 she is still waiting. The Consular Office says the standard reply "Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days. For more information, please visit U.S. Consulate General Dubai."

Dropped an email on [email protected] to get a clarification as to what this means. They replied on April 5 that visa is not refused. Officer is still working on my case.
15 October 2018- I finally withdrew my H1B visa and applied for H4 and returned to USA on November 24 2018.
