Replied on 11/19th for Questionnaire.
12/24/2018: CEAC still shows Last Updated date 11/14 with "Admin Processing".
1/29/2019: Still same, No updates.

H1B second time renewal ; Chennai consulate dropbox ; Received the passport back with 221g blue form ; Masters from reputed university in Atlanta, GA ; Supply Chain field ; Direct full-time employee ; Approved I-140 ; No documents asked in the blue form which says that my application require additional administrative processing ;
12/12: Dropbox at Chennai VAC.
1/18: followed up with Chennai consulate at [email protected] (Thankfully didn't got a template reply)
1/22: Asked to attend Visa interview
1/24: Attended Interview at Chennai. Was normal questions (Company, Salary, OPT , Location). Passport collected and said it will be completed in 2-3 business days.
1/28: Case status date updated again, but was still in AP.
1/29: ISSUED Status.
Tips: Regularly follow-up, Try emailing ChennaiH&L section for a non-general reply after your case has been delayed for more than 30 days, Call NVC to know about any details for the Admin processing- When I called they said mine was a Consulate Hold

Dec 24: Submitted documents in email
Jan 4 : Got email to submit Passport
Jan 7 : Submitted Passport in VFS Chennai
Jan 8 : Consulate received Passport.
After that still no update Received.
CAEC website shown Admisnistrative Processing. UStraveldocs Passport Status was Passport with embassy till Jan 16.On Jan 17 it shows There is no status update available for the passport number submitted.
Any idea or anyone with similar update.

JAN 23 case date got updated but same Administrative processing.
JAN 25 updated to issued around 8.30am. Picked up the same day around 3.30 pm.

I have been stuck in Administrative Processing as well it is so frustrating.
I am a British national and due to visiting Iraq I cannot enter the US on the visa waiver programme, therefore I decided to apply for a tourist visa at the embassy in London.
I have been rejected before in January 2017 as part of a small group of friends, and the visa officer stated that as we were students at the time of interview, she did not believe we could afford a trip to the US nor would we return to the UK suggesting we may attempt to seek employment out there, any how we returned disappointingly to our homes.
on April 13th 2018, I revisited the embassy this time on my own and under went an interview to explain the purpose of my trip. The issue of visiting Iraq may or may not have an impact on AP but I have been numerous time for visiting of holy shrines and this is well documented on media and the world wide web.
The consular stated that he is not refusing me, but needs to make background check
