Had my interview done on 01.03.2019, VO asked questions about my employer, what kind of company it is, work location, salary, client letter and my monthly salary and then asked my LCA. I answered all of his questions confidently and gave all the documents what he asked. Then he returned my i797 and passport, kept client letter and LCA with him. Gave me 221g white slip with option 2 ticked and told me they need additional time which usually takes a week or more and they will contact me if any additional documents needed. Did anyone else also faced a same scenario and how much time did it take for them to get visa approved ? Thanks

My company or role falls under TAL as my background is aerospace. The interview was basic for 5-7 minutes and then pink slip was issued. Later that day, i got an email asking for my CV, current/past research and countries i traveled for the last 10 years. I submitted those docs (brief research update and my publications) the next day and got an automated reply from chennai consulate. The DOS is likely doing their background check and will keep this posted. Hope it helps someone. Dec 26 - Biometric Dec 27 - Interview Dec 28 - Submitted research details, publications, resume and travel history Jan 30 - 1st update Feb 6 - 2nd update So many delayed updates. *sigh* been 40 days already as i expected. Feb 7th - Issued finally.! (1 PM) Picked up passport same day 4 PM. Visa expiry as per H1B. FWIW: Just ignore this admin processing and enjoy the vacation guys.

My husband and I are on independent H1Bs but we attended the interview together and we were called to the VO's window together. We were asked the same questions. Employer name, Salary, If I completed my MS, University name, Degree achieved. VO mentioned that one of you have to wait for a week for your visa approval for further processing and the other one has an approved H1B. She approved my husbands visa and said mine will be an extra 10 day wait but it looks good(big fat lie). This is my second H1B stamping. I recently changed my job and worked for exactly a month before attending this interview. I've always been a Full time employee. Been working for 4 years on H1B. The next day I got an email from Hyd admin to submit a questionnaire that requested 15 travel and employment history. We responded to that email the same day on November 21, 2018. We have cancelled our return tickets. My husband had to go back and my little one is away from his dad for more than 75 days.

went for the interview in Delhi consulate, the interview went well and the interviewer asked me regarding my degree in nanotechnology along with its applications. Further, he asks about what will be my plans while staying in the US to which I answered him pursue my master thesis. After this, he told me to submit my passport and asked me to go to the counter where a lady gave me a white page and mark out all of the documents such as resume, research experience, education, travel history etc. All of these documents I need to submit via email. Mailed the documents next day and still showing as administrative processing.

Need help with question below My dependents have EAD and AP card , last time when i went into country with my AP i was taken into separate area. To avoid any hassle in the travel now i submitted L2 stamping for my dependents. 2 days after the passport was submitted got an email stating passports are ready for collection. After collecting the passports the visa were not stamped and got a 221g white letter. The letter says meet the consulate officer for interview . We have a situation that my kid has to get back to school as per approved leave and wondering if we can travel back to country with EAD, AP card ignoring the 221g ?
