Hello All,
Today I had been to US Consulate in Mumbai for H4 visa interview.
My background: I already have a valid H1, but I am applying for H4 as I am planning to take a break.
The officer asked me a couple of questions related to my husband's work and later took my passport and husband's i797 copy.
Later, gave me a green slip - need more administrative processing and asked me to wait for a reply from them via email.

interview was normal...VO asked for the client letter,i797,i129 and LCA documents and asked about employer details and made me wait for 11/2hr and returned my passport with the documents..told me to wait till the administrative processing is complete then drop the passport at chennai VAC.m already working in US at client location if it takes more time to process then i will loose my job..please help

Application Status is administrative processing. Any idea on how long will it take for processing..

- submitted end client tax document on 23rd July.
- got email to submit passport and i797 to CGI center in pune.
- submitted passport on 4th at pune VFS center. finger crossed.
- got my visa today at home.
- don't loose hope, keep patience.

09/05/18 - Attended Visa interview in Chennai Consulate
Following questions were asked.
1. Your place of employment
2. Client name
3. Salary
4. Family Details
5. Previous visa denial reason
Collected my client letters and asked me to wait
Then called again in another counter and asked for other documents.. made me wait for 30 more mins
Then again called and asked me to write my employment details in a white paper (my previous employment history, salary, joining date etc) and got it signed. Then handed over blue slip saying additional processing is required and nothing needs to be done from my end. Gave back my passport.
09/13 - Client received email and replied back on the same day
Update - 11/29 - FINALLY Got email today at 9.10 AM from [email protected] to submit my passport today..
11/30 - Passport Submitted to Chennai VAC
12/03 - Case status date got updated
12/07 - Issued
12/10 - Received Passport with visa (Took nearly 3 months) - PLZ STAY POSITIVE, everyone will get it
