Interviewed at the consulate in New Delhi for a TD visa (dependent of a TN).
The officer checked everything including wedding pictures, I797, etc.
At the end asked me about my work as a PhD student in India. I told her I work in the field of Biology, so she
asked a range of questions about that. They also took the passport.
In the end she said we need some more information from you so gave me a document to email research related documents,
even though I'm just visiting as a spouse.
I guess it is because of my background in Biology. But its been almost 4 weeks and the passport status on the website CEAC
still says Adminstrative Processing and was last updated on March 12 (the interview date).
There has been no update since then! What should I do?
They have been holding my passport for a month now!!
Still in AP, last updated date changed to May 1st.

Mine was dropbox eligible case. I dropped off the documents on Apr 2nd and got return passport asking to appear for interview by Apr 6th. I appeared for interview on Apr 12th. I was interviewed by 2 officers and have provided all requested documents - client letter, end client agreement, w2, payslips etc. I was told my case is in administrative processing by the first VO officer who interviewed me and my passport as well was returned. I am working in EVC model and they had reached out to my vendor/client for information on Apr 16 and they have provided them promptly. There is no update on my case after 3 weeks of the interview. Not sure how long it going to take. Standard response from support team though going to check with them today as well. Its painful to wait without knowing whats going. Keeping on checking emails and Status page several times a day to see the standard response!!!

Hi All,
So, updating timelines here again after the approval.
10/12/2017 - Biometrics
13/12/2017 - First interview at Delhi embassy, was given a white slip (for documents) and yellow slip(for panel physician report).
18/12/2017 - Submitted all the required documents including the medical reports along with my passport.
09/01/2018 - First update I got post my interview, asking me to collect my passport. Was given another white slip asking to reappear for the second interview any day between 8am-10am.
10/01/2018 - Appeared for second interview. Was interviewed for around an hour or so asking my duties, project, degree etc. Took notes and was told that it will take sometime.
04/04/2018 - Status update on ustraveldocs asking me to submit my passport.
04/16/2018 - Status updated on ceac as issued.
04/17/2018 - Picked up my passport with stamp.
I really wish for everyone here who is stuck due to this whole long processing window. Good luck to all. This forum really kept me informed.

This is my 3rd interview and it has been 9 years i am staying in US. During interview asked me to submit the project details and LCA and handed me 221 G yellow slip. It has been around 2 months no update yet.
Any suggestion as what i can do?

Received stamped passport after 3 months in being AP. Seems Mumbai center is slow in processing the cases compared to other locations.

01/09: Interview. Normal questions about employer, salary, designation, work site. Then VO asked for end client letter. Didn't carry end client letter hence VO handed over 221g slip. Asking for end client letter stating there is vacancy for me, technical details about client project on client letterhead etc.
01/17- Attorney submitted contract document between employer and client. Client has policy to not give any kind of letter to its vendors for visa concerns.
Calling consulate support once a week however didn't get any update different than CEAC website.
Sent email to traveldocs id however got standard reply saying mandatory AP is going on.
04/19- status is still AP. last date updated: 01/08
Not sure why they are taking so long to process 221G.
04/25- Status still AP. Last updated date still 01/08. My husband is working on L1. Does anybody know if applying L2 shall discard my H1B which is under 221G processing?
04/30: Still AP.
