VO asks me a few basic questions then asks me for my previous year's w-2 , i didn't have it , so i was handed a blue 221g , she also asked for a detailed project description from my employers.

03-12 - Interview
04-05 - Boss submits documents that were asked.
04-13 - Got the mail from the consulate asking for my passport. (11:00AM)
04-16 - Submitted my passport at the biometrics place.
04-17 - Passport status changed to "Your passport is still with the US Embassy/Consulate"
04-18 - Case Status date updated , Still AP. (2:00 PM)
04-19 - Case Status date updated again , Still AP. (9:00 AM)
04-20 - Case status changed - Issued (9:30AM)
04-22 - Passport collected .

VO asked usual questions , requested I-797s for 2014 and client letter. Provided all the documents at the window. VO asked latest client letter and handed over while 221 (G) slip requesting documents like contract details, end client letter and I-797s. My employer provided all the documents except client letter within couple of weeks. Consulate updated the case requesting end client letter. My employer reached out to the client but couldn't get the client letter.
Client provided their legal contact details which were then provided to consulate to contact on March 8th 2018.
Me and my colleague (Chennai Consulate and an MS from US) were in the same situation. He got his visa approved by March 30th and was able to travel back to US last week. My case status is still the same with no update from consulate. What should be my next step? Please some one suggest.

Copy of employment contract or letter of agreement signed by me or petitioner
Copy of contract between US based petitioner and Client company
Letter on letterhead from personnel department at US end client company stating that there is a vacancy for you.
On 27th Feb I have submitted all the requested documents and received the confirmation email from the consulate
On 13th April I received an email stating Please submit your passport, copy of your I-797 , pending letter to the Consulate General via any of the 11 document delivery locations. (pending letter is 221G form)
On 16th April passport submitted.
On 18th April CEAC Tracker status changed to ISSUED
On 19th Passport Received.

I had my student visa (F1) interview on Mach-22-2018 at New Delhi consulate where I was given a white slip to submit supporting documents, according to the slip I had to submit work experience, resume, faculty will be using in the USA for research, my previous research and etc. I have done bachelors in India and have worked 2 years in my field thus I did research that this kind of documents are requested from Ph.D. students or H1 some of the documents are not even possible to submit as they are not applicable in my case, its been 4 business week since I have submitted documents on March-27-2018 and have no update since Anyone else who has applied for F1 visa and facing the same problem please share your opinion. First time F1->H1b. 3rd time lottery. FTE
12/29/2017- Interview. Usual questions - company name, salary, number of employees, number of employees on h1, number of years in company, questions about masters degree, previous jobs, resume - made to wait for 20 minutes in the hall - resume given back along with a blue slip. Asked for federal income tax returns of the compan for last 2 years via email. Almost left the building, before I was called back into the lobby and to the counter and handed back passport. VO said no further interviews required and passport can be dropped off when docs approved.
1/12/18 - IT returns emailed by company along with cover letter detailing my duties and responsibilities.
4/17/18 - Got email from ChennaiHL requesting submission of passport at 13:20 IST. Submitted within an hour. 2nd business day after 90 days completion.
4/18/18 - Last updated changed around 3:30 pm. Still AP
4/19/18 - Issued at 1030.
4/19/18 - Passport collected at 15:00
