Gave interview while on Business trip in Korea. Got the 221g requesting all the standard docs like employment, resume, travel history. Work for US company as a full time employee. Been on H1B for 5 years and with this employer for 3 years. Was on the employer's visa already and this was my 3rd stamping.
Was planning to go back to US on my valid visa, but the visa officer cancelled my current valid visa, which according to the lawyers is an outdated rule. Reasoning given to me was, if you apply for a new visa, old one gets canceled.
Apr 5: Received email from Embassy to submit passport via courier. Requested to submit passport in person, which they accepted. Submitted my passport in the afternoon and they asked me to come back tomorrow afternoon for passport pickup. :) :)
Got the email exactly 3 weeks after I submitted my docs and they processed it. Site still says Admin processing, but the date is updated.
Apr 6: Collected passport. Heading home after 4 weeks!

16th March Attended the interview all basic question and VO informed that she is going to issue the VISA.
19th March Received email to collect passport and since online status wasn't changed had doubt and received passport with 221g White slip .
No documents asked...
27th March...Received a call from embassy to re-appear for interview on 29th March..
29th March...Had second round of interview with all Paystubs/W2 verified....They took the passport again and informed me that i would come to know about decision by next week. Fingers crossed....

02/28 - Passport returned with 221g slip (green). Asked to appear for interview about research. Current Visa CWOP.
03/01 - Went for interview. Officer asked only 2-3 questions. After I answered question about what my research topic is, she typed on her computer for a while before handing me a blue 221g slip, asking me to send documents: Invitation letter, CV, List of publications, research abstract, job positions, travel history, contact info. Most likely TAL.
03/07 - Documents sent. No status update since interview date.
03/27 - Got email to submit passport. Submitted via dropbox.
03/29 - CEAC Visa status updated: AP
Passport status: Your passport is still with the US Embassy/Consulate
04/02 - CEAC Visa status updated again: AP

I have a H1B transfer to new employer and had valid H1B stamping from previous employer. I submitted my application through Dropbox but was called in for an interview on December 12th. The officer asked standard questions and handed me a yellow 221g asking to submit additional docs through email to Mumbai consulate. I submitted the docs on January 2nd and received a confirmation email.
Dec 20 - CEAC update on the day of the interview
Apr 3 - Sent an email to Mumbai consulate for update since it’s been 90+ days
Apr 4 - Mumbai consulate responded that the petition is returned to USCIS for review
If anyone else is in similar situation, please respond. How long could it take now? Is there anyway to track the case at USCIS? WHat are the next steps?

Asked basic questions and said No further documents are required. It's been refused for administrative processing. I will be hearing in a week. Its been almost 2 weeks. No update yet.
