My visa status finally updated from the dreaded "Administrative Processing" to "Issued" after a long wait of 2 months. This forum has been very helpful during this process & I want to give back by sharing my experience to help others.
My profile: Living/working in the US for past 8 years, currently with a mid-sized US-based Financial services company as an IT manager (full-time employee). This was my 3rd stamping but first with my current employer. My last India visit was in 2014.
1/24 - Interview date, was handed the 221g slip seeking employer/project details. These included my employer's tax returns, list of employees with their visa status and salary information, and my project description
3/2 - Received email requesting to drop Passport
3/21 - "Case Last Updated" date changed from 1/24 to 3/21
3/22 - "Case Last Updated" date changed from 3/21 to 3/22 & status changed for the first/final time to "Issued"
3/23 - Received email to pick passport! :)

I went for Visa interview for my H1-B renewal after 3 years. My company is a small company working in Aerospace domain. I work directly for my employer. The VO asked what is my company, what is my designation and salary and what is the highest qualification. I answered all of them. Then the VO asked what does my company do, I answered him that we are in avionics test solutions and he asked who the end users and I answered him. The VO handed over the blue slip with case number and administrative processing checked and I asked him how long it takes, and he said few weeks and asked to follow the case online.
Into the 3rd week now, I didn't get any update, no change in case status update date yet.
UPDATE:
I got status updated to ISSUED on the ceac website on 3/2/2018 and the passport status got changed in ustraveldocs on 3/5/2018. I got email from ustraveldocs on 3/6/2018 to collect the passport. I collected the passport and got my Visa!

I appeared for Visa interview on 30 jan, 2018 f1-> h1b for stamping at new delhi. At end of interview I was asked to email docs like 797, 129, paystubs, end client letter,cover letter to hl processing and then was sent to another counter for more details where i was given another white slip asking to email resume, travel plans, purpose, work experience, education to advance processing.
The second white slip I received doesn't make much sense. Did any one of you received 2 white slips. Also they didn't take my passport.
I have submitted all docs today and the status tracking website is down.
If any of you had same exp pls reply

Detailed project description is one of the documents that needs to be submitted.
I work in EC model. Is project description only for inhouse projects or should we submit the detailed description of the client project? 221g says this needs to be obtained from petitioner. Any thoughts? Please help.

I went for my first H1 stamping on 10th Jan 2018. Interview went normal, At the end of my interview VO took my client letter and gave white slip with 10 digit case number and administrative processing checked on it. Asked me to track the case status and he said it may take few days or weeks to clear. But no update till now. No emails or calls received, No documents asked. If I try tracking by case number it says invalid case number, but my DS 160 Application ID says still under processing. Any one here in similar situation? Any suggestions will be helpful.

My Wife had to appear for L2 renewal since she got 2 years last time when she got L2 while all myself and my daughter got 3 years. She has to go through administrative processing last time also which was a short one. She got visa issued in 10 days of administrative processing. It was the reason why she could not go through Interview waiver program and have to appear for interview again. This time on Jan 25 when she attended interview VO asked few questions and one he asked about her educational qualification he picked up Blue slip and started writing the case number. He did mention that there is no additional documentation required and she may not appear for interview again. And then the status has never changed including the date. It is still in administrative processing now messed up our travel plans.
