Hi,
I applied for H1 extension and I had several renewals before. My interview was scheduled for 01/02 and at the time of interview not much was asked but was told that they would like some more information and gave me the white slip to provide All I-797 with current employer, Employers 2 years tax return, Client letter, Employee list with immigration status.
All documents were submitted as per the direction on the while slip via email. I was asked to check the status on CEAC website. first updated after the document submission was on Jan 31 but did not really had any information.
Feb 2nd my employer and client was contacted to verify the information via email. They received a long list of questions from DOS. Responses were submitted by Feb 8th.
After another long wait i contacted [email protected] to check the status of my case and in response on 03/13, i received an email to submit the passport.

Background: I work for a big client. EVC model. Came down on vacation and totally regretting it now. I am concerned since most people at least receive the client verification email before 60 days and then the processing takes a little over 60 days. But in my case, I did check with my client multiple times and the vendor and nobody seems to have received any kind of communication from anyone. Adding to the frustration is the generic response I get from the tracking agency. It would be great if they could provide more information as to what documents they need or if they need any further information at all. It is just so frustrating to not be able to know why its taking this long.
Interview was normal. VO had asked if he could keep the client letter and handed over my passport and said it would take about 2 to 4 weeks. However the letter did not have my client manger's email or phone number.

Hello Friends, This site is extremely helpful to track the 221g cases and understand the time lines it is taking to clear admin processing. I am sorry I haven't created an entry before but thought my experience may help boost others confidence a bit more.
My time line:
04-Dec-2017 - Submitted Passports (for Dependents as well) for Drop box
09-Dec-2017 - Received passports with a blue slip (221g) to appear for interview (I was told to come alone) along with documents like Contract, End Client letter, My job itinerary, My project detailed description, employer 2 years tax returns, paystubs for last 2 years.
02-Jan-2018 - Attended for interview with all the above documents. Was asked to wait till they go through documents. Finally they gave another 221g blue form with administrative process checked and return my passports.
27-Feb-2018 - Received an email from Chennai H&L to submit passports. No updates in the meantime.
28-Feb-2018 - Submitted passports
07-Mar-2018 - Passports stamped

Passport received with Blue slip: 13th Dec, 2017 (attend the interview at Chennai Consulate office with supporting documents)
Interview atteneded at Chennai: 15th Dec, 2017
Consular officer questioned regarding client, employer, salary, highest education, client letter, LCA and I-797. Answered all questions and provided all supporting documents and consular office after 15mins issued another 221g form with no more documents marked and informed they need to do some more administrative processing and it might take several weeks. Once the process is complete and the decision is made, email will be sent to submit the passport and I need to submit at the nearest dropbox office.
Till now no change in status and last update date is Dec 15th, 2017. I keep following via call and email and I always receive same response, wait until the process is complete and if any additional documents is required I will be contacted regarding the same.
