I had my interview on 29Dec2017.
Genral questions like company, salary and client were asked. The VO asked for my client letter. He scanned my letter and returned it along with my passport and issued a 221g blue slip - no documents were asked.
On 8Jan2018 - client received questionnaire which they responded on the same day and received an acknowledgement too.
No updates since then, website still shows 29dec as last updated date.
On 01Mar2018 at 11.15AM IST - received email from Chennai H&L to submit passport
On 01Mar2018 at 3.30PM IST - submitted passport at Bangalore VAC
On 02Mar2018 - last updated date changed on CEAC website to 02Mar2018
On 05Mar2018 - CEAC website shows status as "Issued" - last updated date is changed to 05Mar2018

Hi ,
I had visa interview in Chennai location, on DEC 04 2017, as usual, question client name, employer name, roles etc. Gave 221G Blue slip after doing all the document verification( LCA, I129) as I don't have client letter(SOW, MSA documents..etc).No updates after that, but i got an email from my client (Jan 3rd, 2018) that the Department of state had sent a set of questions and they replied to that questions. Today I got an email (14/02/2018) to submit my passport, after 72 days. Got my passport on (20/2/2018)
We prayed a lot, so don't worry.God will help everyone. If client verification is done wait for 60 to 70 days, else call helpdesk and raise service ticket. Then everything in gods hand.

Passport given back..They gave 221G form by saying "Your application requires additional administrative processing before a final decision can be made". Could you please tell me how long it will take to get response as email? my H1B got approved(before I was in F1) but still they gave my passport back, 221G back. I have given my visa Interview on 19th June 2017. I was given white 221g form and the VO told me that the case needs additional administrative processing. Its been more than 7 months and I have not received any update either on the website and over the call to the consulate.
I have tried applying for H4 and given my interview on 21st Oct 2017 and the VO has given me 221g White form and told me that the case is linked with my H1B. Now my current employer wants me to travel to the US with B1 for 5 weeks. I am clueless and waiting for an update on my H1 or H4 as my wife is in US.

18th Jan attended interview. Got 221(g) asking for client letter n work order (EVVC model).
Submitted over email on 02 Feb. Didn't get acknowledgment email back.
CEAC Status: Jan-18-2018 (AP)
Emailed [email protected] asking for receipt of documents and got back vague reply.
Update #1: On 2/20 at 2 PM IST, received email to submit passport at the nearest VAC. CEAC status still not updated
Update#2: 2/21 -- submitted passport at nearest VAC. On 2/23, Passport tracker status updated "Passport still with US Embassy/Consulate" meaning it reached Kolkata consulate. CEAC status still not updated
Update#3: 2/26 - For the first time, CEAC status got updated to today's date but still AP
Update#4: 2/27- CEAC status updated to Issued, yay!!. Waiting for passport to get delivered.
