i dropped my passport in drop box on 1/10/2018
received email on 1/13/2018 to pickup the passport, got 221g blue slip with additional documents to submit.
attended interview on 1/18/2018 and submitted all documents and waited for 2 hours and Indian VO officer called and ask about client. i am an full-time employee and i explained her my project and i work for in-house project,i dont have any client. she again asked for client details and i told the same. i waited for few minutes and VO called and returned my passport and all the docs.
he gave 221g blue slip mentioned as your visa is refused for admin process, will be reconsidered after admin process is complete.
its already been 45 days and i am losing my current job in u.s and paying the rent ,insurance and all bills. feeling irritated and losing hopes. anyone faced same situation, please do suggest your experience. do i need to wait or switch for new employer

14/Jan/18 - Collected passport and found 221g blue slip to appear for interview
18/Jan/18 - Attended interview and submitted all the requested documents. VO specifically asked to show all additional documents and provided those docs in the counter. He asked about employer, client, work location, any dependents, designation and salary.
Provided yellow slip and asked to wait. Waited there for around 2 hours and VO called my name. He returned passport and all supporting documents to me and provided blue slip with additional admin processing option checked. He asked to track the case status for updates.
25-Jan-18 - Status showing admin processing
26-Jan-18 - Client received an email from DoS for job verification
16-Feb-18 - Received an email to submit my passport at Chennai VAC
20-Feb-18 - Submitted passport at Chennai VAC
26-Feb-18 - ISSUED! Long wait is over !!!

Past history: In the US since 2005. Since then, I have had three F1 renewals and one O1 renewal. This is is second renewal of my O1. I have only encountered difficulty during the first renewal of my F1 during my PhD and was placed under the 221(G) processing. That was in 2011 and took exactly 30 days to resolve.
Current History:
Qualified for drop-box and submitted documents on Nov. 28th, 2017.
Received request to pick up passport on Dec 3rd, 2017. A letter to appear for an interview was attached.
Visited the US Embassy in New Delhi for the interview on Dec. 5th and was requested to submit additional documents for 221(G). The consular services asked to keep my passport but I requested to keep the passport with me in case I travel for personal reasons.
Case Created: Nov 28, 2017
Case Status Update: Administrative Processing on Dec 5, 2017.
Since then the date for the case has been updated twice with the latest update on Feb 7, 2018, but still in Administrative Processing.

Full time employee with a staffing company
Dropbox-17th November 2017, Got a white slip and asked to appear for interview
Interview- 23rd November, Passport returned and got 221g and asked to submit additional docs ( Though i had all the docs with me but they said we want to review them in pdf form )
Submitted all docs on 6th dec but did not receive any email from them , then re-submit all docs on 11th Dec
12th Jan- Attorney sent an email to US Travel Docs to check on the status, they again asked for a scan copy of 221g slip.. Submitted on the same day
Last update on my case is my interview date 23rd November.
Please share your experiences.. Does anyone know if these cases are solved in embassy here in India or USA?
26th February- Received an email from support@usatraveldocs to submit one more document which i had already submitted on 11th Dec. Does any of you know what does it mean? or had similar experience ? its been over 3months of wait .

My Passport was given back with Receipt 221g, and verifying on website shows the "Administrative Processing" and still processing, officer asked me to come back later once after the status was changed. she made me sit at the center for 2hrs and atlast given me 221g receipt, all my documents are correct and working for same client for 6years and on I140 extension. Not sure whats going on my employer and client are s supporting.

I carried my resume & employment verification letter.
My lawyer told me that they can't follow-up with consulate before 60 days. So, like everybody else has mentioned, this situation is stressful, but be patient and enjoy your vacation days as much as possible.

Update 1 : 30-Jan-2018 CEAC is "Administrative Processing" IVR says "Passport is still with Embassy"
Update 2 : 1-Feb-2018 CEAC is "Administrative Processing" IVR says "Passport is ready for pickup" for same i received email notification around 11:20 AM.
On 2-Feb-2018 I collected my passport at Bangalore VFS office and received Blue slip says "Appear for interview along with applicants passport (H1 & H4)".
Update 3: 2-Feb-2018 CEAC is "Administrative Processing" IVR says "Your passport is picked up".
on 5-Feb-2018 I went for VISA interview at Chennai Consulate. VO asked simple questions. Last she gave "US right to know" booklet and finally said your VISA is Approved!!!. No slip given. And VO retained my passport.
Update 4: 5-Feb-2018 CEAC is "Admin processing" IVR is "Your passport is pickedup"
Since then there is no update.
Update 5: 22-Feb-2018 CEAC "Issued"
