Work with one of the Big4 in Financial Services Consulting. Completed my MBA in 2016 and worked on OPT till Oct 1st 2016, after which my H1-b came into effect. Went to the Delhi embassy for my H1-b stamping on 13th Dec 2017. Was asked questions about my role, my MBA, and whether I was out of status at any point (to which I replied 'No'). My wife was with me for her F1-H4 COS and she got approved immediately. I was given a 221g Yellow slip and the lady said "You should be good, but the processing may take a few extra weeks, just need to be patient". The lady collected my passport and did not ask for any additional documents in the 221g slip.

In US since 2011 (initially F1). First H1B from 2016 Jan to 2017 Jan. 2016 Dec changed employers and got 3 years extension till 2019 Dec. First H1B stamping. 2nd H4 stamping for wife.
Visa interview at 1030 am in New Delhi on 5th December.
Asked for I797 and Passport.
Salary--gave answer.
Job responsibility--gave answer.
Why do I stay at a different state than my employer -- I work at client location.
I tried to show him LCA but VO was not interested.
Asked from OPT card issued in 2016 -- I said I was issued H1B in Jan 2016 and I was in CPT before that. Showed him the previous I797 but he did not look. He did not ask about the first OPT card I had from first masters.
He gave a 221g yellow slip, said they need to do some checking on their end, need 3-4 weeks.
No document requested.

I attended interview on 6th Dec 2017. VO asked basic questions like others. I work in EVVC model. One of the question was about client. I said xx client as per my work and petition. I got a shocking reply from VO saying that client name is incorrect. I was like whats going on. I said I can show the client letter as proof. She was not ready to look at it , Later she issued yellow slip stating to provide additional documents via Email. Client letter and Vendor contracts.
On Dec 18th , I submitted the documents and since then there was no update on my case. Here are my timelines until my Visa got approved.
Interview date : 7th Dec 2017 - 221g yellow slip and passport was returned back.

Email to submit passport : 24th Jan 2018
First time case update got changed: 29th Jan 2018
Passport issued: 2nd Feb 2018

I did my PhD in biophysics in the US and I work at a small startup. This is my first H1B Stamping. The consular officer asked a few questions about my title, the company, what we do (it's a little esoteric and hard to explain without jargon), how much I make, and what my highest degree was in. He asked for for a CV (i gave him a resume), he asked for an employment letter (I gave him letters from the company and our attorneys). He then handed me a blue slip and said "at this time I can't issue your visa without additional processing, but it should only take 2-4 weeks for you to hear back."
There were no updates for 4 weeks on the CEAC tracker, but at the conclusion of exactly 4 weeks (yesterday) the date on the update changed from the date of the interview to 6th Feb. It is still under Administrative Processing.
Issued on the 8th of Feb. Update on the CEAC Website around 2PM IST.
