My case was still pending while Mumbai consulate got closed due to Covid in March 2020. I am still waiting for it to open and process my case.

Hi Every one, this is my first h1b stamping at Hyderabad after couple of basic question issued me a 221g white letter with case number. Requested the documents after sharing the documents no update from there end. requested for update couple of times but a same response has been received that's the system generated. if any one have a little information about the 221g processing in the recent changes in the ban of the H1 restrictions could you please share in the comments. Issued 221g, submitted: invitation letter, resume, research, publications, position, funding, travel, contact information 5 Feb: case created 6 Feb: Interview. case last updated (Feb 6) AP 17 Feb: CGI blank document delivery. It said ppt with consulate earlier 3 Mar 2020: CEAC Refused last update date is 6 Feb 2020. 5 Mar (2 PM): Recvd email to submit PP. CEAC Refused last update date 6 Feb 2020. CGI blank 11 Mar: Submitted passport. CEAC still Refused. CGI PP being delivered to post 12 Mar: CEAC mine AP. CEAC spouse refused. CGI mine PP is still with embassy 13 Mar: CEAC me+wife AP. Refused for spouse little later 16 Mar (4 PM): CEAC issued for me. Spouse still refused. CGI ppt proc. deliv. 17-20 Mar: Recvd stamped ppt. Wife in AP. CGI wife PP is still with embassy 15 May: CEAC spouse AP. CGI no status 11 Aug: CEAC spouse Refused. CGI no status

I had applied for H1 ext in Oct'2019 along with my spouse' H4. Meanwhile my spouse got H1, so we requested USCIS to withdraw H4 (specifically I539) application. I got my H1 approval, the next day USCIS withdrew my application (in error) along with spouse H4. As H1 cannot be withdrawn by USCIS without employer requesting for same my employer reached out to USCIS and USCIS re-opened my case and sent another H1 physical copy as approved (online status not updated). In Jan I came to India, I was eligible for drop-box, but got 221g slip to attend interview. On Feb 10th I attended visa interview and I was given 221g again, no documents asked.The consular informed that my visa in their system shows revoked :( (their systems are not in sync) We reached out to USCIS and USCIS again confirmed that my case is approved. Got new document from USCIS and submitted to consulate. No acknowledgment received.I reached out to consulate numerous times to no avail, plus consulate has been closed since March

Consulate asked for Employers Tax document for last 2 years and Detailed document of Project description. Submitted it on April 14 via email. But due to Covid-19. the embassy is closed and not processing case. I got the acknowledgement of the documents sent via email. The Status of my case still says "Refused".

Hi Guys, Me and my wife did attended for H1/H4 visa interview at Chennai consulate on 25th Feb. The interview was quick 2/3 minutes. Asked about Salary, Job Duties, Highest degree, Job location. Everything answered but after few seconds VO said i am not rejecting/ refusing your visa but need to few docs to further process and gave a pink slip. And did retained both of our passports. I did sent the applicable docs - Employer invitation letter, Detailed Cv, 10 years travel history. Research and Publications not applicable in my case. My field of working in Oil and Gas industry. I have my travels booked for Mid March. Does anyone in the same boat as me? and when i can expect some reply? Thanks May 12th 2020: Guys my Case status changed from Refused to Administrative Processing on May 12th. Any clue when we can expect the next status update? Thanks
