I went for H1B renewal in the Delhi Embassy on 10th Feb. 221g was issued - I am guessing cause of TAL. My Status finally changed to issued on March 31st and then got an email to pick up passport the next day. So, almost took 7 weeks.

The interview was very brief. Handed over my passport and DS2019 and the VO asked me if i am working on so and so project. I said yes. He handed me a blue slip and told me my case requires administrative processing. Also, told me i am probably used to this since I have been to the US several times. I said yes and handed him a letter from my prof saying that my work is not TAL related. But, VO said that he needs to do his job to keep his boss happy (ie) hand me the 221g. The VO also told me that I should get my visa in 2 weeks on 9 Feb 2015!! Nothing yet!! I have a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology and i am assuming it's a visa mantis check.
31 March 2015 - Issued. Picked up my passport today - 1 april 2015. Took 7 weeks to get my visa.

Interviewer said I would receive an email within 24 hours asking for Postdoc advisor's CV and my research plan. Didn't get any such email. After waiting for sometime, sent those documents to the consulate email id anyway. No change in status yet.

It was me and my wife for H1B extension and new H4, we had a short interview and the VO collected our passport and my resume. Got the first status update on Feb5 as administrative processing and no updates after that.
No additional documents were requested in the blue slip, so I have the slip with me.
Status Updated Date changed to 30 March 2015 but still under administrative processing.
Another status update on 31 March 2015 morning.
Status changed to "Issued" in the evening, waiting for the mail to collect passport.

My Interview was on 20th Feb, VO asked me about my Client Letter, Vendor Letter and Employer-Vendor Document, Had given all 3 documents. She took a photocopies of all the documents and gave back the original and gave a blue form saying required additional administrative processing. She told we would contact me by mail and let me know on when to submit the passports.
Hoping I get the mail soon. Fingers crossed

Background:- RF Engineer, After 30sec of interview was handed over the green slip and asked to submit the documents (invitation letter, Resume, Research, Publications etc etc) Submitted the documents couple of times with minor changed. Final doc submitted on 3rd feb 2015. Didn't receive any response from them. The ceac website is still showing admin process.
