Marriage based immigration visa was issued 221g bcoz of PhD in electronics, so TAL related processing needed in DC. Yesterday got a status update but being easter monday it was a public holiday in italy, so i figured out that someone touched the application in DC. Today on 7th April got a approval email from consulate and in few hours status changed as issued. It took 49 days. I did a lot of reading in the past few weeks and even drew graphs with the data from these trackers. most cases take 45 to 55 days if it goes over 65 days those cases happen to run for even 2 years. I would request people to update their trackers. Remember it helps the people after you to know where they stand. Good luck to all.

Time line:
Interview on 3rd Feb 2015. VO told me immediately that my visa is approved and passport would be ready for pick in 2/3 days. But next day I received an email to submit additional documents such as invitation letter from the sponsor, cv, project details and previous travel details in the past 10 years.
Submitted requested documents on: 4th Feb 2015. Immediately received the confirmation.

Status update on 30th Mar 2015 - Administrative processing
Status update on 31st Mar 2015 - Issued
Received email on 2nd April 2015 - Passport ready for pick up.

This is my 2nd H1B visa interview (received 221(g) the first time as well, which got resolved within 3 weeks). I have a PhD in EE and work in R&D of a technology company. I was visiting the UK on a work trip.
Consular officer asked me to submit CV, List of Publications and Company letter, which I did during the interview.
3/30/2015: Received e-mail from Consulate to send passport! Thanks immihelp users for the constant support and tracker updating! All the best to those waiting! It took me 49 days to get an update.
3/30/2015: Submitted passport at the courier drop-off center in London. I'll update the status to approved as soon as I receive the passport back.
Status date changed to 4/1/2015 and 4/2/2015 on the CEAC website. The Embassy did confirm that they have the passport with them.
Status changed to ISSUED in the afternoon of 4/2/2015. Now waiting for courier to deliver the passport.
