My visa was initially approved and after I came back home i got a call from the embassy, we are sending you your passport back your case will go in the admin processing, this was very shocking for me as, I was approved by the consular and suddenly after few hours I get a call from the embassy

My case is different from all the cases that I have read so far on this forum.
I switched from L1 to H1 and there was a time in between the switch when i was on a valid i-94. I have got a 221(g) in this regard.
Like most other folks, I am also guessing every single day when will my application status be updated.
some timelines-
interview date : 12 Jan 2015
passport was retained by consulate.
Status updated to Admin Processing on 15 Jan
Passport returned with a 221g slip attached on Jan 22
Documents submitted along with passport on Feb 4
2nd Status updated date Feb 19
Waiting for next update. All in all 221g so far has been an extremely frustrating experience leaving the applicants helpless and embassy's mercy.

Me and my wife appeared for the (L1-Blanket & L2 ) USA visa interview in Chennai consulate, dated 8th Jan 2015. Visa officer asked the Resume and company letters and handed over 221(g) blue slip with two case numbers written on the top of it. Both of our passports were retained with I-797,I-129S by the consulate. On the 20th Jan 2015 'CEAC' website has shown the status update date changed from 01/08/2015 and after that nothing has happened so far. Is there anyone in this forum who are also on the same boat.

I was interviewed on Jan 12th and was handed the 221g slip. This is not the first time and I had to undergo this process several times before. I believe it is due to my research background following PhD in Physics.
The case status was updated once on Jan 28, then again on Feb 6th, 17th and 18th. But so far nothing has reached me from the consulate :(. Hope this ends fast.

Hi,
Visa officer was asked the client name, employer name and project name. Then after 1 hour waiting, another Indian lady collected all docs and gave 221(g) slip white colored.
It would be very nice if anybody provides info about What are the next steps? Is this petition again processed at US/Indian consulate re-verify it? What are my chances in getting visa approved?

got automated response, after one hour got another mail to resubmit documents with minor changes.

didn't get any automated response
2nd feb- agian resubmitted the documents

17th feb- call to mumbai consulate
