Got status update today (Feb 2). Hopefully the approval will come soon.
Passport submission email came in on Feb 2 evening. Submitted the passport to my local VAC.
They said it might take a week or so to get back the passport with the visa stamped.
Another status update today. Hopefully the approval will come soon.
Status changed today Feb 9 to Issued. Waiting for the Blue Dart Courier to deliver it to Bengaluru.
What should have taken 3 weeks or so ended up taking nearly 9 weeks and took a month and a half of my salary as well.
Collected the passport today (Feb 12) from the USTraveldocs branch office in Bengaluru.

I gave interview on 24th November 2014 and still waiting to hear from USCIS. They needed 2 documents from employer,
- 2Yr Income Tax statement

Attended interview on Dec 4th and was asked to wait for an email for additional processing. I turned in my resume, research plan, travel itinerary along with the other question in the questionnaire the very same day. TAL case!
I have a Pharma background and work in a Pharma company in a R&D setup. I was given 211 g back in 2010 for my F1 visa which got cleared in 21 working days. Wonder what's taking them so long.
Also I don't see many cases from Hyderabad consulate here pending from November so I have no idea what the hold is for to get Dec TAL cases cleared.
Status got updated to 2 Feb 2015.
Second status update: Feb 6th
Third status update : Feb 9th to show ISSUED!
Received an email to collect passport on 10th Feb. Passport collected!!
Processing time since document submission was exactly 60 days. Additional 10 days for final visa processing and passport stamping.

Hello Everyone I had my interview on the 30th of December for F1 Renewal. The VO had a look at my I-20 and previous visa (also 221G) and said that my case needs administrative processing yet again. I am pursuing PhD in Pharmaceutics and I am in my 2nd year. My classes have already begun. There has not been an update since I submitted the required docs and this is worrying me.

Got a 221g on Dec -02.
The VO collected my resume during the interview.
Was told by VO that I should be getting an email within a week- nothing happened since and still waiting to hear from USCIS.
The last update indicated on the website for my case is still Dec-02; the date of my interview.
Feb-2-2015: got an email to submit passports. The case on ceac was not updated though.
Submitted passports on 3rd. At the drop I was asked for 797 as well. Keep copies.
Met few other guys who attended interview on dec-15th. I think they are moving the cases much quicker now.
Feb-09-2015 update: Recvd the passport on Feb-7-2015. As smileps said, the blue dart tracking and UStravel docs tracking were not perfect. Just track everything you can, UID no in blue dart tracking and the passport tracking feature as well to get a better view of whats happening with the delivery.
