Work experience of close to 10 years in US. Came to India for a vacation after 2 years.
Visa interview on 4/17.Received a Green slip (the color of the slip as i understand is irrelevant)
Was asked to fill out the DS5535 form. Submitted it the same day at consulate.
Case last updated was changed to 4/17
No update until 9/9. Received an email on 9/9 requesting passport to dropped off at the VAC.
Submitted passport on 9/10.
On 9/17, received an email to collect the stamped passport.
It was was a tough 5 month wait. I did not make a congressional inquiry based on experience shared by other folks here. Doesn't seem to help.The forum helped understand that you have to be extremely lucky to get a response in under 4 months.
Was also lucky enough to still hold my job. It has been a long and stressful wait as you really don't know how soon you'll get the clearance.
If you are in a similar, i'd recommend you to anticipate a 4-8 months of wait time,visit places & enjoy time with your family

I had H1B visa interview on 19th Jun 2019. VO asked me some basic question like client name, salary and work location after that VO provided me the yellow slip and asked to email the following mentioned documents.
1) A copy of the contract between the US based petitioner and the client company (the job site where you will actually work), stating the timing, terms and agreement of your project.
-- I know this one is SOW
2) A letter (on letterhead) from the personnel department at US and client company (the job site where you will actually work) stating that there is a vacancy for you.
-- This one is for Client letter
3)A detailed description of the project to which you will be assigned. Include a complete technical description of the project
-- Can someone help me with 3rd document ? is this related to ITINERARY letter or supervisor letter or something else?
If someone knows about this please share the template.

I work on EVC model.
8/14: Went for interview with my dependents. Usual questions. I did not have the latest client letter. Had all other docs but VO was not much interested & asked to email them instead. Passports were returned.
Docs Asked: Complete I129 petition, I797, Cover letter, End Client letter, contract docs, notarized list of employees, fed tax returns of the employer, my W2.
8/16: Emailed the docs.
Edit:
9/03: Last update date of the case changed.
9/03: Vendor and End client received inquiry from US embassy. The concerned departments have responded back to the US embassy.
Edit:
9/11: Received email to submit passports to VAC.
9/12: Submitted passports to New Delhi VAC.
9/13: Last update date changed to 9/13.
Edit:
9/16: Status changed to Issued with message that it is in final stage of processing.
9/17: Received email to collect passports.
9/20: Collected passports with correct visa stamps.
9/21: Reached US. No questions asked at PoE.

Hi, I had interview at chennai on Aug 28 and got 221g blue slip. i have been checking the status in CEAC website but last 4 days i was not able to. It just keeps throwing error like "the code entered does not match the code being displayed" even after i enter correctly. Is this just happening to me or anyone else experiencing the same problem?
