Advance Parole
Long story short I filed for advance parole back in late July 2016 and my request was accepted in 12/23/2016. However, I have not received anything in the mail to this date. Anybody have an idea of when it could arrive or how long after you're approved it takes for AP document to arrive in the mail? Thank you.

H1B extension still in process and Advance Parole
Hi everyone!

I hope someone here can either share his/her experience or give some advise. I will be receiving my EA/AP combo card (as part of a greencard application through marriage) pretty soon, maybe in 1 to 2 weeks, tops. Currently I am working for my employer who sponsored my H1B visa (currently expired) and filed for an extension a few months ago, still pending review/approval. I have read somewhere in this website that people have traveled with BOTH a VALID H1B visa and AP and when reentering the U.S. immigration officers just focused on the H1B visa and did not even look at the AP/EA card! In my case I was wondering whether I could travel with that expired H1B visa but with a valid AP without having any problem. I understand that probably the application for an extension of my H1B visa is going to be cancelled but I guess that does not really matters if I will have an Employment Authorization cards by that time anyways! I would appreciate anyone who faced a similar situation sharing his/her experience. Thank you!

Need suggestion on AP
Hello Friends,

I have applied for AP on oct 6th and got RFE for my I485 on Nov 14th but we never recieved the letter from uscis so we contact congressman and they helped us to get scanned copy of RFE in one day. Then we submitted the required documents to uscis on Dec 22nd. but till now there is no update on my AP and EAD. i really need AP to go to my country for my marraige as per our religion. I want to expedite the process but marraige is not the valid reason. So can I get my Fathers medical emergency record from doctor from my home country and go to local uscis office for AP approval?

advance parole
Just want to share my experience. On November 17 I sent my advance parole due to my mother being sick in Mexico. I wrote on the application expedite and I called USCIS and asked them to expedite. On December 6 my case was approved and I received my document 4 days later. I already went to mexico and came back on the 18th. Going through customs was easy. They just asked me how many days I went and where I went and where I live. Just take your A.P, passport and employment card. Also make sure your record has to be clean and you never had issues with immigration in the past. I hope this helps and please dont lose hope for those still waiting.

AP-approved
So I finally called uscis, they put me on hold and about the time I finished cleaning my house, took my car for a wash, I talked a L2 officer. Indeed, it was a "glitch" and that I actually got approved on December the 20th. So the documents should roll in the mail today or tomorrow. Thank you all for the good vibes! Stay positive and safe travels. You gonna be alright!
