Ombudsman - Last Chance Saloon
Well after 4 denied expedite requests including one from my Congressmans office, I have requested case assistance from the USCIS Ombudsman. I have a sick daughter and medical bills to pay come January 1st. My RD is July 11th at Vermont. Lost my job November 22nd. Will keep you posted with what happens, if anything.

Traveling abroad while waiting
Hi All
I have a L2 visa and I am waiting for my EAD (posted a while ago the details).
Does anybody know if you're allowed to travel abroad while waiting for the authorization, part of requisites was the I94 which I think would reflect I am not in the country anymore or that there is one more recent in case I am back at the time they process it. Been browsing the internet seeing different answers to my question.

New notification while checking case status
Hello everyone,
I saw a new notification today when I Checked the status on my EAD renewal filed on July 17th at Nebraska service center: "As of September 24, 2019, fingerprints relating to your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, Receipt Number LIN1990xxxxxx, have been applied to your case"
Prior to this, I have been getting a notification for months saying that: "As of september 24 2019, we have received your fingerprints and are working on your I-765 at Nebraska service center".
Is there anything I need to worry or be happy about? Thanks in advance.

Its 172 days my i765 got updated
Now I'm waiting for i485 is ready to be scheduled
I'm so so happy. Now I can renew my driver license
Can't wait to visit my parents.

So I got my EAD on Dec 11.
I just wondered, where’s my SSN? I remember I applied for it concurrently in the i765 paperwork.
I get to the SSA office and... lo and behold.
No application for SSN has been received!! So I had to manually apply for it there and then.
These government agencies are something else
