August 12, 2020, we ordered your new card after 128 days
Finally after several months. I-765 concurrent filing with I-485 based on approved EB-1 NIW I-140.

August 12, 2020, we ordered your new card

08/05/2020
The fingerprints relating to your Form I-765 Application for Employment Authorization, were taken. (Seattle office)

04/06/2020
We received your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization.

The case was initially submitted to NBC in March and was returned because of the xxx I-944 which was not required when we were filling the forms but they changed the forms and the I 485 forms became invalid months before the expiry dates printed on the form. And then, there was a pandemic, cancellation and delays. If you’re in the same boat don’t lose your help. It is just a long long wait.

How Long To Receive Card After Appoval? CSC
Eventually got my approval August 11th. Biometrics already done back in February. How long have people been waiting for their cards? This is California Service Center.

I-765 approved before I-539
I applied in January for extension of stay and EAD renewal. EAD has been approved Aug 11th but nothing for extension of stay. Is this normal? I always thought EAD renewal was contingent on extension of stay being approved?

Sharing my attempts and fails for an expiring EAD
Hi guys, I want to share my experience and try to make something good out of this gloomy situation. Hope my case can serve some value to applicants in a similar situation.
I work in Healthcare in California and has been working as an essential worker during the pandemic. But if nothing happens in the next 2 days, my work will be terminated.

Originally, I received my EAD under F1 OPT (expires Aug 13). My i-765 renewal application was filed in Feb, under marriage-based adjustment of status.

My timeline
2/12 - Filed I485, I-765, I-131 applications
3/12 - Applications receipts send out by USCIS National Benefits Center
3/14 - Received Biometrics appointment notice scheduled at 4/3
3/18 - Biometrics appointment canceled, waiting for rescheduling
6/10 - Called USCIS Contact Center to schedule an Infopass appointment for temporary work docuement, was told that appointment is emergency only, my request doesn't qualify.
7/23 - Filed expedite request to NBC, contacted congressional representative
7/27 - Received response from NBC, stating my case in suspense "awaiting my appearance for biometric processing". Still waiting for a reschedule for biometrics
7/27 - Visited my local ASC. Was told that they only take biometrics with appointment notice. Asked to speak with an officer about getting a reschedule. Was told that local ASC doesn't have access to rescheduling system, go home and wait. If not receiving it within "30 days", I should call contact center to file an inquiry
8/3 - Asked contact center when I will get my biometrics rescheduling. Was told that "the system" will automatically reschedule you, they don't have a concrete date. Just have to wait for the mail. If not receiving it within "90 days", call contact center again. When I asked what will contact center do if I call back after 90 days, the response was "we don't know the procedure yet because it's 90 days away." (Are. You. Serious.)
8/11 - Called contact center asking for an interim EAD or any temporary work documents. Was told that "We don't do that anymore". Declined request for a field office appointment.

It has been a frustrating process. I don't know what else I can do at this point other than just waiting for things to fall in their places. If you are going through a similar situation and want more details for specific questions, leave a message and I'll share everything I know. Maybe it could save you the one-hour wait at Contact Center who knows

Interview scheduled
Hey guys just thought I’d update you: I’m in NYC and just got a notification today that my interview was rescheduled (it was originally scheduled for April 1 but ...April fools! Covid-19 happened). No idea when it is yet but waiting on the letter. I’ll update here again when I have the actual date. Good luck to everyone!

Biometrics still absent due to field office closure
Hi all,

I wonder if absence of biometrics on file would impact the production of EAD?
My appointment got cancelled due to covid and i just checked that i still do not have biometrics on file. My EAD got approved july 24, but it has not been in production since then. I called UCSIC they say they will try to reschedule people who they do not have biometrics on file for appointment but they do not know when.

I need my EAD by end of this month.... what can i do? Appreciate any help!

Thank you!!

Hello All,
I've been scheduled for my fingerprints but my drivers license and passport have expired. Can i use those or find a way to renew my license (if they're open due to Covid) before I can attend my appointment.
