Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed
I had my I-485 interview today. My case was employment-based. The officer was not very friendly and worked very slowly. The interview took about 1 hr and he went over every single questions on the form. Everything was fine but at the end he gave me a white sheet and told me that we cannot approve my case at the spot and further review is necessary. I asked him how long the review takes on average and he said unfortunately he is going for a travel and does not come back until end of July. When I returned home, my case was updated to "Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed".
I wonder if anyone has a similar experience and if yes how long it took for you to get the final approval. Please tell me! I feel really bad and am very low and disappointed.

Finally, it's my time to share my timeline. I have been checking this forum multiple times in a day for the last several months to draw some hope and strength to wait some more for the EAD.
PD: Nov. 16, 2018 (EB2-NIW, semi-concurrent)
RD for I-485, I-765, I-131: Dec. 7, 2018
Service Center for I-485, I-765, I-131: NBC
Bio: Jan. 9, 2019
New Card Is Being Produced: June 20, 2019
For those who have already received their EAD's, what happens next now? Does the online case status give you a tracking number when the card has been mailed? How long did you have to wait to receive the actual card? Thanks a lot!

Expedite through Congresswoman timeline
HI!
Marriage based / NBC / NYC - Queens filer.
PD: March 25th
Biometrics: April 23rd
I got a job offer in early June so I needed my EAD card asap.
June 3rd: Called USCIS to request an expedite
June 4th: Called Congresswoman's office and sent supporting documents immediately.
June 5th: Case Status changed to
1) your request to have your case expedited was completed.
2) we sent a response to your request to have your case expedited
3) your request to have your case expedite was assigned to an officer for response.
June 6th: Contacted Senator's office (Kirsten Gillibrand is my senator. She is running for 2020!)
June 11th: Congresswoman sent a request to USCIS
June 12th: I also faxed the same supporting documents
June 18th: Senator also sent a request
June 19th: Case Status changed to "New Card is Being Produced!!!
Supporting docs I submitted:
- Cover letter
- Job offer letter
- Spouse's unemployment letter (My spouse got laid off)
- Emergency room visit summary (My eye was injured)
- After Visit Summary from my two doctors' offices saying I needed medical treatment.
- Hospital bills (In cover letter I mentioned I really need medical treatment but I haven't seen my doctors for two months due to severe financial loss and I am afraid to lose my vision... blah blah)
- Credit Card bill
- Joint account bank statement
- Marriage Certificate
- a copy of My passport
- a copy of my spouse's passport

Expedite request through lawyer
Hello,
Has anyone used a lawyer to expedite the EAD?
I see that most people either do it alone or through the congressman/senator but not through lawyers.

Interview done in Chicago Employment
My appointment was at 8am and I only got called in at 1030. I guess there was some sort of confusion as to who was gonna interview me. You can imagine the anxiety during the wait. The IO apologized for the long wait. He approved me at the same spot and gave me some white sheet of paper. He said they have to do some background check but he doesn’t see any issue with my case/.
