Mar J2 EADs seem to have been approved
Hi friends, i did some digging around to get a sense of J2 EAD approval timeline. This website is helping EAD applicants (all kinds, not just J2) compare their cases with others - https://www. **** *.com/uscis/ead-processing-time/.
Using the data on this website, I checked the EAD case status of many J2 EAD applicants on the USCIS website. My finding is that J2 EADs filed in and before Feb have been cleared with the processing time of 3 - 3.5 months. J2 EADs with RD in Mar are still showing pending status. Hopefully, within a month they shd be cleared.
I think to reduce panic and to get a real sense of the timeline, we need to collaborate using links similar to the above. Immihelp has provided a wonderful platform for discussion but it only helps to a certain extent. Pls share resources similar to the link above so that it helps everyone make good sense of the timelines. Thanks.

Congresswoman
So I tried expediting through congresswoman, my husband who is the one needing the EAD, has a job offer, we are suffering extreme financial duress etc. Congresswoman got an email reply from USCIS saying our case is still within processing times and that we can try again if it exceeds processing times. But I keep seeing people have success with their expedite who have filed later than us so I am confused? Is there anything more I can try? We really can't go another month paying rent without his income ugh.

Hello,people!
My PD is June 6 2018 and at the beginning of July I had my biometric done. This year, April 22 2019,I applied for EAD, so my question is how long does it take to get it approved? I have read somewhere on this forum that it comes faster if you have already done biometric before when applying for the I485.
Any experiences about that to share???
