Hello guys!! Pls are there December 2018 filers that have gotten their EAD??? It's 148 days now, nothing whatsoever ! I'm so weak and down because of this issue. I need to work to support my Family. Sigh....
Hi everyone, first I would like to thank everyone for sharing their experience. It really helped me not to go crazy during the waiting period. I would like to share my experience to help others too!
I have applied for a Green Card through marriage I-485 from San Diego, California and case number starts with MSC (which means, that my case is/was located in National Benefits Center).
02/07 Case Sent
02/08 Case Received by USCIS
02/15 All receipts & confirmations in mail
02/23 Biometrics appointment letter
03/05 Biometrics appointment completed
03/14 I-485 Status changed to "Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview"
05/07 EAD I-765 status changed from "Case Received" to "New Card Is Being Produced"
05/10 EAD status changed to "EAD Card Was Mailed To Me"
05/11 EAD & AP approval letters in mail (online status for AP I-131 has never changed from "Case Received")
05/13 EAD status changed to "EAD Card Was Picked Up By USPS" it also included a tracking number, and USPS tracking stated - "Expected Delivery By 05/15"
05/15 EAD & AP Combo Card delivered TO MY LAWYER'S OFFICE (I had a panic attack when I checked USPS tracking, and it said "delivered", but there was nothing in my mail) and picked up from the lawyer's office the same day.
05/21 SSN number not in mail, picked it up from a SSA office and my card should arrive within 14 days.
It took 89 days for my EAD approval, I was about to call USCIS on day 90th, but I checked my status one more time and 'tadaa' my EAD was approved. After the EAD approval everything went very smooth, but SSN. USCIS website says that "if you don't receive your SSN within 7 days after you get your EAD card IN MAIL, go or call to the SSA office) - btw don't call them, I called SSA yesterday and waited 40 min for them to pick up, to only find out that they are not able to check anything until I have my SS number... So, I went to the SSA office today, which is pretty much 4 business days after receiving my EAD & AP Combo Card in the mail (I am not very patient, lol) and they told me that my SSN has been generated just yesterday, so it should arrive in mail within 14 days, HOWEVER the lady provided me with my SS Number on the spot, so I can start using it, starting today! Wohoo! I would recommend everyone, who is impatient as me, doing the same, because all you need is your SS number (Card is not that important), especially, that, even though you are legally allowed to work in the US, you cannot work till you obtain your SSN.
Other thing for interested:
My EAD card arrived in my maiden name, even though I have changed my last name when I got married and even though I sent a copy of my marriage licence. My SSN has been also created with my maiden name, and I cannot change it (even by showing a proof of the marriage licence). My SSN last name can be updated IF I apply for a name change on my EAD (which I won't, lol) or with my green card once I get one (I believe I can ask the immigration officer to put my new last name on the GC). So, everyone having a new last name is pain in the ... I wanted to apply with my new name, but my lawyer advised to apply with the maiden name since this is what my passport says as well. Oh well.
Still no updates on my Green Card, but it has been only 3 months so far, so I will still have time to panic about that!
If anyone has any questions to me, I am more than happy to help! I know how frustrating this whole process may be. Ask ahead!
After a long wait, i finally received an email on May 17th saying that my card is being produced for I765. On following Monday May 20th, the status has changed to case was approved.
When should I expect to receive the ead card on hand?
For those that are on this waiting journey... finger crossed!

and after call I see
As of May 21, 2019, your request to have your case expedited, referral number WKD.......
does this mean they put an expedite and will I get RFe to prove expedite? as I didnt want to apply expedite as I dont have such prove to send.
your advice will be helpful

At the moment of filing I was in the US on an L-1 visa, however my contract was to expire in May and I would be out of employment. I expedited by calling Customer Service and in addition contacted Congresswoman. I sent a letter to congresswoman with all the evidence (letter form previous employer) stating I would lose my current job and also had an employment offer in hand. I also wrote a letter stating the hardships that my family and I would incur as I am the bread provider in the family. As soon as congresswoman contacted USCIS my case started moving, she was very helpful and understanding and would provide regular updates.
Do not be afraid to reach out to Congressmen for assistance, however remember that expedites will only work if you truly have the need and can provide evidence of hardships.
Thanks to all for your assistance, Do not lose hope...
God Bless!
Just to give some hope for the October fillers. Here are some of my experience:
1) Case based on employment;
2) Case filled on 10/09/2018;
3) Fingerprints realized on 11/16/2018;
4) May 21 (today), New Card Is Being Produced;
Finally after long 7 months and couple days. Hope within 1 week I will be with this card in hands.
Question, I only saw this notice in one of my receipts. The others ones (I-131 for travel and my wife documents) will be sending together or need to wait until they get updated?
Thank you for your guys help and hang in there who did not receive yet.
