Ead
Hi everyone. Does anyone has the issue i deal with? My renewal Ead is pending since July 18, 2018. Filed through the lawyer. Raised two inquiries why it is outside the normal processing time but no responses. Called multiple times to USCIS where they would say in a week you should get something but still no luck. Talked to tier 2 agent but no good answers either. The last conversation with tier 2 agent i was told that the have backlog of three months or more because of government shutdown so there is nothing they can do. She said that i cant expedite if i have a job now only if i would not and would have an offer for job. Thats ridiculous. Does anybody has the same issues waiting for 9 months for EAD renewal?

Attorneys filed my EAD. The case was approved 2 days back and the document is with USPS. Will EAD card be sent to attorneys address or applicants address?
Tracking shows it would be delivered by Sat 8pm. But what if theres no one in attorneys office to pick up on a Saturday?

L2 EAD finally arrived
I finally got my EAD after a very long wait. I finally found the reason after calling my congresswoman and it was totally ridiculous.

09/04/2018 - Receipt confirmation
11/06/2018 - Approval notice! I was very happy because that was faster than expected, but the card never went to production.
12/06/2018 - Opened a request of card not delivered.
12/18/2018 - Got a response and was told that the case was processing normally and to wait 60 days.
02/18/2019 - No response. Waiting until I could open a request for longer than processing time.
03/01/2019 - Opened a request for Longer than Processing Time.
03/19/2019 - Got a response. The same as before. That everything was processing as normal and to wait another 60 days.
03/19/2019 - Opened an Ombudsman request.
03/20/2019 - Called my congresswoman and mailed her the information that they asked. That same day they called me back that they had contacted the USCIS and I should expect a definitive response in 10 working days or less.
03/22/2019 - Got the letter from USCIS. My case was on hold because, according to them, I hadn't submitted my photos! Totally ridiculous. 100% sure that they were submitted. They just lost them. But the part that pissed me was that they couldn't even told me what was happening.
03/23/2019 - I wasn't going to waste my time arguing with them. Mailed the photos.
03/25/2019 - The photos were delivered.
04/04/2019 - Card In Production
04/08/2019 - Card ready to ship
04/10/2019 - EAD finally delivered to me!

So, If you believe that there's some issue with your case (not just the normal processing time), call your congressperson. The request directly with the USCIS rarely work.

Going abroad when the case is pending
I'm on L1 visa in the US now, I married a US citizen and we filed all the forms (130, 485, 765 ...). Now I want to go abroad for 1 week. I did it with my L1 before without pending case and I didn't have problems with reentry. How my trip will affect my green card case and will it (even in theory) cause me problems on my way back to the US?

Thank you
