L2 EAD - a never ending wait
Hi guys

I can imagine rather feel the plight of everyone on this forum - since all of us are on the same boat
With slightly different issues. Needless to say one thing is common .. the helplessness.

In my case on 120th day I get an RFE - for photograph requirements ( so overnight the photo as per the required standards ) - it's been received and status is , they will begin working on the case - which was put on hold.

Any idea how long does it take for it to get approved - after this kind of RFE.

Regards

Viraj

EAD is being produced
Hi guys! Just want to share my experience regarding this application.

PD is Nov. 17,2017

Raised 2 SRs (february and march) with generic response.
Consulted Ombudsman first week of february but got a response just yesterday (which was too late since I knew the result already)
Went for infopass 3rd week of March. I just asked regarding the case status and luckily, he helped us expedite our case. I don’t know what he did but I just saw online that case was updated immediately.

Card is being produced last April 2.

I just want to ask also how many days would it take for them to mail the card? I have read some in the forum that took forever again receiving their cards. This is really a tough journey for us and I hope everyone will have their time to shine.

I finally received my EAD card!
Hi guys, so I have learned a lot thanks to you all, and I have felt supported and less lonely!
So it's my turn to share my timeline.
I haven't been able to work for the last 2 years. My situation has been really frustrating with a lot of mistakes made by our lawyers.

PD: October 17th 2017
SR: February 2018. The answer was, it is normal, we will be processing your case when it will be your turn. So basically, this SR didn't help at all.
I hesitated a lot in contacting the Ombudsman but I didn't.
On March 27th I received an update on the website that my case had been approved, along with mi I131 (advance parole), and that they were producing my card.
On march 30th they sent my card
On April 3rd my card was in my mailbox.

Now I am hoping for the green card interview to arrive, and hopefully be done with all this long, painful, and complicated experience of my life! Good luck to everyone!

STEM OPT EAD
Hello all,

After combing through a lot of posts, I figured I would share my recent experience.

USCIS (Potomac) received my 2 year STEM OPT extension application on January 23rd. Based on the extensive delays talked about on this forum, I figured my EAD wouldn't arrive before my normal OPT EAD expires on April 9th. However, on March 30th, I created an account with USCIS (NOT the case status portal), and it showed that my card was being produced. Today, got the notice that my case was approved and my card is in the mail. So just a little over 2 months. I don't know if this fast processing has to do with my being a Canadian citizen (although born in Turkey), but I'm not complaining.

I would encourage everybody to stay positive!

Processing times
So I'm going to be at day 75 next week. I wanted to raise an SR and also contact the ombudsman. I asked my lawyer to fill out the e- form for the ombudsmen but she basically told me processing time is 5 months currently.

At this point I'll do it myself if I have to but can I still raise SR's at day 75 or is my lawyer right? We have to wait 5 months now?

Hi,
Still no update on our case. Ombudsman, senator contacted, no help.
Uscis appointment scheduled, same response as last time, they are looking at your case.
Anybody from late October received the card already?

EAD
Hello everyone
Need your help
I have received approval notice for EAD in the mail today which saying that EAD card will arrive separately.
The letter was saying that I was approved for 1 year.
Does anybody knows if I can go to the Social security office to get my Social security card with this letter only or I have to wait for the card first?
Any answers would be kindly appreciated
Thank you all

EAD Approved 2/5 but still waiting for the card!!
Hello everyone,

We received a notice that my wife's EAD was approved on 2/5 but have yet to receive the card.

Online case status only shows that the I-131 application was received so that's horribly not up to date.

Has anyone else waited this long after the approval notice?

EAD RFE notice
So I just got an email this morning that an action has been taken on my case. So they are requesting more evidence. I have no received the mail notice as to what this is.

Is my husbands case going to be denied!?! How long does it take to get the notice in the mail. I just want to send off the evidence to move this along.

About how lucky my after I finally get and send back the evidence does it take for an approval?? The form is the I-486 and we are waiting for his work permit, ssn, and travel document. We have contacted the ombudsman and our Congress woman.

Has anyone had this? How long did it take to get an approval?
