About expedite
After what looks like a successful expedite of EAD (status changed to New Card Is Being Produced) here are my takes:

This was a renewal.

You do not need to wait 75 days or 90 days to raise expedite. If you believe you have sufficient supporting documents, it works. I requested expedite (called the customer care number) on 74th day. 3 days later got mail asking for supporting evidence. Faxed it next day. Status changed to card being produced on 83rd day. You can literally apply for expedite just after they receive the application. That is the whole point of expedite.

I do not know how it works with SR i.e, some have mentioned that expedite requests are being postponed if there is an active SR ... no idea how it works. Never raised an SR.

For fax, prepare a fax cover sheet, a cover letter and all the documents.

You can specify more than one categories for expedite. The person I spoke to when requesting expedite asked me to pick only one (said he can put only one check mark). But later in the mail it said you can choose multiple.

It seems because of an overwhelming number of requests, the evidence need to be significant. Just job offer is not enough.

Banking Help
Hey everyone so my husband received a tax return check in the mail. It is in UK currency and we need to cash it. He doesn’t have a bank account because he can’t open one here without a SSN. We have tried currency exchange places, banks, Federal banks pretty much everywhere! Does anyone know where we can cash this check!?! THANKS!

EAD HELP
I have been here for a long time since they received my case. So far, I have tried anything what I could do for my EAD. I submitted 3 SRs, and 2weeks ago a letter said my case is under review, and I will get a decision shortly. I contacted congressman, L2 officer, ombudsman, I went to Dallas USCIS office. I tried everything, but there is always same answer: no one knows what is happening on my case. It has been 165 days. GOD! Can anyone give me some advice? I am losing hope and life.

Expedite Request
Today I tried to call USCIS to expedite request.
Mine was in pending for 80 days and first SR gave response saying it is within processing time( Link for California Service Center says 5 months processing time)

I called and asked to expedite and customer care replied that processing time is between 75-90 days and since mine is pending for 80 days, I should wait.

Is this true? How to make them expedite?

How long from approval to receive?
Finally received some updates. On 3/23 the status updated to "card is being produced" and on 3/26 the status updated to "your case was approved" for the EAD.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes to receive the card? I have to be out of my current residence by next Friday April 6. I'm praying it comes in the mail before then.

I think there should be another status update that says "card is being mailed" right?

Really hoping it comes soon, so much stress

Work Permit
hello just to find some information. the old website said my card is being produce but the new website is saying :
"
 March 27, 2018

We are producing your card and will mail it to you
You do not need to do anything at this time

We will mail your Green Card, employment authorization document (EAD), or combo card (EAD and advance parole) to the address you gave us. It may take up to 120 days to deliver your new card.

If your mailing address changes, update your address with us."
I am an asylum seeker and this is my ever first card, i have not yet been called for an interview so am not sure i can be given a green card immediately, is this how the message comes? or should i think otherwise. And how long does it take to produce a new card because they it may take 120 days . Your responds will help me understand better.

Second SR - When to file
Hi, I filed my SR and I got back the following response the next day. Can I file another SR for expediting the request? My current EAD expires on 03/30

The status of this service request is:

On March 27, 2018, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your Form I-765 to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

The processing of your Form I-765 is within our current processing time. Please see our Web site at www.uscis.gov for processing times.

We hope this information is helpful and appreciate your continued patience.

Travel to Iran with AP
Hi all,
I finally received my EAD/ PA combo card today after 5 months. Thanks a lot for all the advises and information I learned from you. Now, my issue is I'm from Iran and since Iran is one of the ban countries, I would like to know if there is anybody that has experience for coming back to U.S. after travel ban for these ban countries? I really need to see my parents after 10 years.
