No receipt number received yet
Hello Everyone,

How long does it take to receive the receipt number after the package has been delivered to the USCIS? I have applied for F1-OPT and have included the G-1145 form with the application. It has been 7 days since the package was delivered and I have not received any confirmation.
Thanks in advance!

EAD response
So I’ve seen a lot of people get the same message. I woke up this morning to an email saying “We are reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time” they said they last took action on the date of my biometrics so I guess that means I have a long way to go Nov 1st PD. Ugh

Inquiry Response from USCIS
Hello Everyone,

Receipt Date: Oct 19, 2017
NBC
C9 AOS

I received an email response yesterday on my online inquiry placed on March 8, saying, " Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action shortly."

Anyone who have received such message, please share how long after receiving such response it takes time for receiving the card

Thanks

USCIS emails
So I keep getting emails from USCIS since last week.

"We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time. Last action was taken on xyz"

But here's where it gets interesting: in a weeks time the last action date has gone from Jan 29, march 1 to today's email saying march 16. So I guess they're working on it?

I contacted the senator a month ago but they got a generic response from USCIS.

Can i send an offer letter?
I had sent out an offer letter with my wife's EAD application. Not sure whether that expedites the process. We now have another offer letter from a school (my wife is a teacher). Should we send that too? And where should we send it. I am an L1A and we sent out the original application on 29 Jan...

Very anxious - as we are basing a lot of decisions like where we will live based on how fast we can get her EAD...

L2 EAD application receipt confirmation not yet received
Hi Friends,

I mailed my L2 EAD (A-18) renewal application documents via USPS to the USCIS Arizona on 14th March and according to USPS the package was delivered on March 15th and signed for by H.Brown.I haven't received any receipt confirmation (with Receipt number for tracking) via text or email up to now. My check for the application has not been cashed either. I am worried that maybe my application got lost or something. Is there anyone with the same experience and how did you handle it? I am very worried.

Still no card
Hi All,
Seems like everyone is having the same issue. I wanted to share my experience and hope it helps to know that we are not alone in this struggle :).

Its been 181 days and I still dont have my card. here are the details

-Sep 29th 2017 USCIS (National Benefit Center office) received my application (through marriage to US Citizen, i-485)
-Oct 28th they asked for initial/additional info for the i-485. Like some ppl have said, this was complete BS because we had already sent the things they asked for. so we sent them again(nov 8th) anyway with more clarifications. seems like they do this intentionally to buy more time
-Feb 8th Expedite request submitted because i had two job offers by then. Feb 12 they asked for proof of job offer and i faxed it the same day. didnt hear anything back regarding that expedite for 3 weeks so i faxed it again just in case.
-March 5th Ombudsman office request submitted online. i got a response from them on march 21st saying they contacted uscis on behalf of me.
-Called 1-800 number dozen times since begenning of feb. called level 2 as well. they just all keep telling me to wait.
-march 19th i did get an email from uscis for one of my service requests saying that they are now reviewing my case.
- i lost one of the job offers already because of the delay.
-its been more than a month and a half since my expedite request and i still dont have the card or a formal approval of the expedite request from uscis

I dont know how they work. According to this forum some people who submitted couple of months after me had already gotten their cards. so it doesnt seem like they are processing applications in the order in which they received them. Only thing i havent tried is the congressmen. i thought ombudsman will be enough.

FINALLY I GOT MY EAD 104 DAYS LATER!! DEC FILLER
Hi all,
Finally, with my card in my hand. It have been a long wait and thanks to this forum, the waiting was much more pleasant with all the good news and hopes of everyone. Thank you for sharing your stories.
NBC center C9 filler married to a USC
Here is my timeline:
Dec 15: We received your case (Form I-485, I-131 , I 765)
Jan 19: Request for initial evidence (financial support even though we sent it in the first package)
Jan 23: Biometrics appointment
Feb 13: We received your response to our request for more information. Your case is no longer on hold. (I did not know that was on hold , I started getting worried)
March 1: Service request online USCIS website (76 days)
March 2 : Service request over the phone
March 5: Request for a case assistance with Ombudsman
March 6: I reached my local congressman office (super nice people ready to help. I filled a form with my process information and my urgency for my EAD card because I had a job offer since February 20)
March 9: Congressman emailed the USCIS with a case in my behalf. They said ““Thank you for your email on behalf of your constituent….A general email answer from USCIS.
March 16: I called the congressman office to see if they have any news about my case, they said that nothing from USCIS, that they are going to try to expedite my case.
March 20: I received a call from the congressman office saying that they request to expedite my case.
March 23: I received a call from the congressman office saying that my expedite request was approved.
March 23: In my account on the new system of the USCIS “We are producing your card and will mail it to you”
March 26: “ We approved your case” Both forms I-765 and I-131
March 27: “ We mailed your card” I did not see this on the account until the morning of Thursday 29
March 28: I went to a infopass appointment that I had schedule 3 weeks ago ( Totally unnecessary they told me that my card was in the facility and that I needed to wait a week)
March 29: The account was updated and I could see the “ We mailed your card” message with the 27 date. For my surprise this same morning March 29 I got my card in my mail box.( combo card parole and work permit)
Recommendations:
1.- In the 76 day of your timeline do everything , phone call , SR , infopass if you can . Even though everything with the USCIS is not working , you need this actions to filled an ombudsman form or a congressman petition. (You need to try everything with the USCIS first)
2.- Apparently Ombudsman is with a lot of cases , not a response for my case that I filled at the beginning of the month yet.
3.- CONTACT YOUR CONGRESSMAN This was fast, easy and really helpful they can contact USCIS directly and they do not have a lot of petitions since is your local congressman that you are reaching ( Ombudsman is one website for everyone)
4.- It helps to expedite your case to have a job offer.

Funny
It seems like the day our EAD gets approved, we should file the renewal the next day. Since 365 days now is not uncommon for USCIS to process a damn EAD card.
