EAD expedition
Hi All,

I'm wondering if there is anyone who has experience on expediting EAD (@NBC).
I applied for expedition about 2 weeks ago, got response asking me to fax supported documents.
After faxing all the documents, there is no any further updates until today,10 days passed.
Tried to speak to L2 office but got nothing, sounds like the officer doesn't know any detail..

So I'm curious if anyone has the same experience..(I thought there should be response like "approved or denied" instead of nothing for expedition request..)

Thanks and wish all you have good luck.

L2 EAD(A18) Renewal
Hello All,

My spouse is currently on L1B and had applied for H1B last year which was pending since almost a year. Recently we received RFE for pending H1b(We don't know it's reason yet). Meanwhile I have applied for my L2 EAD renewal in december and it is also pending since then.

My only concerns are -

1.Will there be any problem or delay in my L2 EAD renewal process because of H1b RFE? or these two are completely different threads not affecting on each other ?

2. Also, can L1B extension and H1B RFE be processed concurrently ? Or will there be any rejection chances in L1b extension due to pending H1b RFE? I know this question is somewhat irrelevant with this category of EAD Experiences but if in case anyone visiting this page had same case before, their experience will surely help us :)

I have been reading many blogs and also discussed with friends. Most of them are saying that there won't be any issue in both cases as these two visas(L1b & H1b) are processed independently and the one which is approved first is continued. I am also trying get an appointment with attorney. But just wanted to know if anyone had been in such situations before ? Any help or guidance would be really appreciated.

Thank You

EAD pending for 146 days now
I filled for my EAD new card OPT on 5th october 2017.
Raised several service requests. got response saying its assigned to an officer and you will receive a decision within 30 days.
34 days over and still no response. Asked my DSO to mail USCIS on my behalf. got this reply.

"USCIS responded to say you case is currently in transit to an officer. Once with an officer, you’ll receive a decision or correspondence within 30 days."

What does this mean? Is my case getting transferred to a new officer? Any feedback would be great at this point. I am losing hope.

September 25th VSC L2EAD a(18) - Finally Approved
Hi all,
I'm a silent follower of this forum and this is so much helpful to share their experiences.
After 154 days of waiting my EAD got approved and they mailed the card yesterday.

I got an email and message regarding card mailing today mid night / early morning . Even I got mail and message when they sent RFE.

My L2 EAD timeline for new application.

PD : 25th Sept 2017
RFE 10th Jan 2018
sent response on 5th Feb 2018

Raised 1 SR yesterday ( 26 Feb) and SR has been completed the same day . ( they updated my account with this info).

Got email and message to mobile at 1:42am today tht card mailed to my address.

I didn't contacted ombudsmen , senator or congressman . Raised only 1 SR yesterday.
Good luck to all..

EAD still under review
Hi,
Just want to share my experience so far and get replies.
A18 renewal. Received date 20th Oct at VSC. Current expiry date is 28th March.
SR1 29th Jan "In line for precessing"
SR2 22th Feb "We are still reviewing your case and will mail you a decision once made"

That would mean they were already reviewing my case when i raised 2nd SR. That is reassuring, but wow long it usually takes to receive card after such response?

L2 EAD/Renewal/A18/VSC/Nov 3rd/115 days
Hi

Thanks to this group!! I received my EAD today. Raised 2 SR's and 1 expedite request but that was denied. Contacted Congressman/ Ombudsman and even no response from them. So don't know who helped me in this or it's just a usually processing time. But the status remains Case was received. So keep checking mail box often and don't lose hope. Your day is going to be any day soon!

EAD - August 2017
Hi all,

Here's my EAD renewal timeline:

Receipt date: August 16th 2017
September 15th 2017: Received a letter stating I don't need to attend a biometrics appointment
First SR: Feb 3, 2018 - no response
Infopass appointment - Feb 26, 2018 (today) - officer sent an email asking to expedite my application since it is way after the regular processing times (she said they are currently processing October applications)

My question is- my case status doesn't show the expedite request yet. Is that normal? I'm also thinking of submitting a request with the ombudsman and NY senator today. My 180 days extension ends on March 14th and I am currently employed so won't be able to go back to work on the 15th unless I receive my card.

195 days an counting...
