We filled our L2 EAD renewal on DEC 4th-2017 , till now there is no update on any case
the first card is going to expire in another 15 days
after reading the forum we opened the SR , there is no response
any idea what date they are currently processing for the below center
the below one is it CSC or Vermont center , pls let us know

Address change
Does anyone know how long it takes USCIS to make the change of address in their system? I called USCIS and he refused to check in the system if the change has been made already or not and told me to wait for 30 days.
Its become a joke. They dont want to do their job but just sit on their butts.

I received a RFE about one month ago and I DID NOT ANSWER THE RFE YET and 2 days ago I got the EAD on my mail.
Another important information, the USCIS website DID NOT CHANGE, my i-765 form and i-131 form didn't update. It still saying "case was received".
I filled October 23/2017 under c9 category at VSC.

My timeline at NBC (MSC)

Thank you all for posting your timelines, I spent a lot of time here on a daily basis.
File Date: November 8,2017 based on marriage to USC
Case at NBC
2/14 submitted a service request ... currently still unassigned
2/22 called to speak to L2 officer, ticket opened but no call back.
2/23 waited 84 minutes to speak to L2 officer, basically was told another 45-60 of wait time and that nothing can be done.
2/28 new card being produced, changed today from “case received”
I will update this post with a date when I receive the card.
Btw, their website updates only on the 15th of every month. So when you submit additional paperwork ( I did an address change beginning of January) they didn’t receive it in the system until February 15... hoping address will be changed before card will be mailed out.

EAD renewal pending after 180 days?
I am just curious to know what happens if your EAD renewal is still pending after auto extension of 180 days expire? In other words, 180 days has passed since the expiration date on your original EAD USCIS still has not reviewed your case. I phoned USCIS the other day the agent told me "I could not work". So do people actually lose their jobs because of USCIS review time goes beyond the auto extension of 180 days? Is there no alternative option or legal action for an immigration attorney to take? My original EAD expired on 11/7/2017 but I filed for renewal on 9/26/17 (received date by USCIS is 9/26/2017). It's been over 5 months since filing for renewal and about 65 days remaining on 180 days auto-extension and I am about to lose my mind :(

Update from Ombudsman
Hi guys,
I sent my request for expedited process for EAD to the Ombudsman's Office on Feb 3rd and today I got an update from the Ombudsman. It doesn't sound like a good news to me. Here's what they said:
"In response to our inquiry, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) indicated that your case remains pending and it will continue to work petitions and applications in the order in which they are received. USCIS was unable to provide a specific timeframe for resolution of the case. Our office will continue to monitor USCIS’ progress on a regular basis until there is a specific action or resolution. We will contact you as soon as we receive an update from USCIS.
Anyone had similar experience? Any advice helps. Thank you.

I-765 filed for 7+ months
It has been taken more then 210 days for my EAD application (@MSC). Does anybody have similar experience and know what to do next?

L2(A18) renewal approved and care received
hi Guys ,
Adding my exp : a) 14th Nov ead renewal application received VSC
b) 26th jan - raised SR , processed on 4th feb assigned and then completed on the same day. no response nothing on any sort of mail
c) 6th feb - called service rep, she said completed means it is assigned. response sent to some unknown email address. Since i was losing job next day , asked the case to be expedited . Lost my job on 7th
d) 9th feb - expedited request assigned and completed
e) 15th feb received mail - expedited request denied
f) 22nd feb raised 3rd SR,
g) received approval mail on 23rd in mail box. Case still received status online
h) 24th feb - EAD card in hand. 3rd SR assigned on 26th and completed today.
i) case status updated today - from approved to " card mailed "
All in all ,i see lot of EAD under L2 got approval as my friends etc who never raised even one SR with almost same priority date.
philosophical take :- (please ignore if getting bored)
> Dont let it get u down. find time to keep on searching new job, retrain , learn something new . Start new netflix series to keep you from frustration. Infact i even gave interviews just as a practice and used to inform at the last that i dont have valid EAD and waiting for it
> check this site often to share pain. it relieves
LESSONS learnt
> Apply for EAD well in advance , especially during nov,dec given all those holidays
> USCIS is unpredictable . No pattern . At best i feel the best analogy will be : going to watch football match at football stadium. Depending on luck and as early reacher, you are assigned some gate and seat. Big line /queue to reach from parking to security gates , Ombudsman/congresmen etc are those driver of golf carts who assist you to reach gates sooner then walkers . if lucky u are able to catch them , and if permitted, get on golf cart and reach early.
Then there is different gate like category. Some gates are faster , some gates are too damn slow due to load. some queue gets all of a sudden stuck due to some ppl carrying unwanted thing . or the officer takes a break and the queue stops. some time one gate moves faster due to multiple gate checker processing at breakneck speed.
In the end , patience is the key , if you have valid tickets , u get to enter finally and enjoy the show.
at the end ,in short - If you have filed everything diligently , One fine day u will have that damn card in your hand.
so best of luck to all who are waiting still, congrats to the one who got it and they can get on with their life .

L2 EAD renewal / approved and card mailed 26 feb/ vermont
After 130 days I got the status changed to card mailed to me . I raised 4 SRs , ombudsman req and 2 expedite request. First expedite on Jan 2 Nd and it got denied second one on feb 22 Nd and very next day I got a response in email that my case is approved and card being produced and today the online status changed to card mailed on feb 26 th ... I raised my second expedite through tier 2 officer . But to me it looks more like a coincidence.. they did not ask for any supporting docs or anything and I just got an email saying it got approved .
