EAD Update
Hi All,

I have been a silent observer of this thread and thought of sharing my timeline. I have a pending I-140 which was submitted last year in December and then I submitted I-765, I-131 and I-485 on May 17th as my OPT was expiring on Aug 5th.

May 17th – I-765 received date
July 10th – Biometric appointment
July 14th – Request to expedite my I-765 due to financial loss and hardship to my employer
July 29th – Contacted local congressman and senator
July 31 – Senator’s office got back to me saying that the Nebraska center never received my expedite request (even though it was showing online) and therefore they re-submitted (with proof my employer) the request. Since the senator’s office responded first I requested the congressman’s office to not to pursue my application.
August 7 – Expedite request assigned to an officer
August 9 – Expedite request was denied due to the huge back log of applications pending, and applications are only expedited due to actual emergencies.
August 10 – Went for an Info pass appointment and was told that there is a huge back log of applications and I should here back something with in 30 to 60 days. Additionally, I heard back the same thing from the senator’s office and they suggested to do another expedite request thru them since I will soon be facing financial hardship if my unemployment were to continue any longer.
August 11 – Prepared another expedite request with all the evidence (my wife’s pay stubs, apartment rent, day care receipts, car loan statements, utility bills….etc.) and forwarded everything to the senators office as a single PDF.
August 14 – Confirmation from the senator’s office that they received the document and will forward to the Nebraska service center ASAP along with the second expedite request.
August 16 – Status changed to ‘New Card being Produced’ and the senator’s office called and confirmed the same thing.
When I asked from the senator’s office they said that they are not sure if it was approved due to expedite request or because my applications number came up. But I’m very positive based on what I have been told and what I have seen on this forum it must be due to the second expedite request. Altogether it took 92 days so far. Now I just have to wait until I get the card in my hand. I wish you all the very best and hope each of you get it soon. Keep doing all you can until you get the card.

EAD update
Hello everyone, after over 20 days of observing this thread... I thought I should share my experience. I hope you find it helpful.

EAD based on pending I-589 c(08)

Timeline
March 24, 2017: Case received by USICS (I-765) NSC.
April 23, 2017: 30 days.
 June 7, 2017: 75 days,
June 12, 2017: First SR1 was submitted.
July 2, 2017: 100 days.
July 11, 2017: First SR1 was completed with a generic "Application is in line to be processed, please allow 60 days"
July 22, 2017: 120 days,
August 8, 2017: Second SR2 was submitted.
August 11, 2017: 140 days.
August 12, 2017: Second SR2 was completed with a generic "Application is in line to be processed, please allow 60 days"
August 15, 2017: First request to have the case expedited due to financial hardship.
August 16, 2017 6AM: Submitted a privacy release form with both US senators from my state to get assistance with in a case with a federal agency.
August 16, 2017 12:45PM: Case status was updated to "Name was updated" please note I did not request a name update, after research I realized it means that initial review of my case has been started.
August 16, 2017 4:30PM: Case status was updated to "New Card is Being Produced"

Please note that my case was updated to "New Card is Being Produced" before the request to expedite my case was assigned to an officer. Also, my case was updated before the senators' staff was able to process my request. I still recommend both especially if you're over 120 days.

TOTAL 145 DAYS TO "NEW CARD IS BEING PRODUCED" I'm going to keep an eye on when the status is updated to "Card was mailed" but at this point, ALL IS GREAT!

Wish you all the best.

EAD update
Hi everyone, I would like to share my updatte. After 108 days and submitting two SR. I received an approval notice on 08/11/17

04/24/17 PD
05/26- Bio
-Submitted 2 SR
-Also contacted local congressman
08/09/17 card was mailed to me
08/16 card was delivered! (114 days)
It was very frustrating and challenging period. To everyone who is still waiting submit service request around the 75 day . Try reaching out to your local congressman for assistance. It would help if you have a pending job offer from an employer to expedite your case. Mine was based on marriage to a USC. All you have to do is be patient.

Expedite EAD processing through congressman worked :)
Hello everyone, I just got EAD approval and I'd like to share my experience with you. Hope it helps someone.

EAD based on a pending i485, (c)(9)

Timeline
05/09/2017 Case received by USCIS (i-130, i-485, i-765, i-131), MSC
05/15/2017 Got a job offer, start date 08/28/2017
06/03/2017 RFE for i485
06/06/2017 Bio done
06/09/2017 RFE response received by USCIS
07/19/2017 Contacted congressman's staff to help expedite EAD processing. The reason I gave is we will suffer from financial hardship if I lose the job. He explained that USCIS may not accept our reason as qualifying for expedited review until the application has fallen outside the 90-day window. He asked us to contacted him if we heard noting from USCIS at the end of the 90-day window.
07/31/2017 Submitted a case inquiry online. No response from USCIS.
08/08/2017 Day 91. Contacted congressman's staff again. Emailed him my job offer and privacy form. He submitted the expedite request the same day.
08/14/2017 Day 97. Got an email at 9 pm saying i-765 case status is "Card/ Document Production." Online status changed to "New Card is Being Produced." :)
Hopefully the actual card will come soon.

Good luck everyone!
