I765 (EAD) since Aug... Still nothing
Hello everyone

Filed back in August. Now it's day 238 and still nothing on my EAD. I've reached out to my congressman and ombudsman. Not sure what to expect at this point. Almost a month out of normal processing times.

If anyone is going or went through the same experience please share any advice with me.

Thank you.

Expedite request (L2 EAD renewal)
Hi everyone

I have a question on expedite request:

1) If i file expedite request (medical supporting documents) BEFORE 90 days of RD, is there a chance of jeopardising my case?

2) If my expedite request is denied, does it mean i have to reapply for my EAD? Or it only means that my expedite request is denied and my earlier EAD application will be processed at normal speed?

3) What is the process of expedite request? First, i have to call USCIS and raise a service request, explain them why i am filing expedite request? And then, send documents to USCIS (OR california center, where my case is processing?)

Thank you all for your guidance ! Good luck everyone.

I765 - EAD RFE deadline expired 60 days - What now?
Hi everybody,

I hope you all are keeping well!

My case:
- 11/12/2019 - EAD files received by USCIS
- 1/15/2020 - RFE received for additional evidence
- 2/12/2020 - RFE response received by USCIS

Registration office: Potomac Service Center
Days waiting: 162.

Today the 60 days deadline for the USCIS to respond to my RFE expired and I gave them a call. First I spoke to a tier 1 agent, she was really helpful and created a 'service request' to see what is taking so long. Second, I spoke to a tier 2 officer after and she told me my case was 'assigned to an adjudication officer for a final review' (which clearly is the final stage of the process). Still, they told me this could take up to 30 days (!), but that the case could be approved as well today or next week.

I have 2 questions:
1. Does some of you have any experience with this specific stage/status? I am really curious how long is usually takes for hear back in this stage, what is your experience?

2. I received a service request number starting with T1S **** **YSC. Once I put this specific number in the case tracker it shows an error. Does anyone of you know how you can follow your service request status?

Thank you!

F1 Student to EAD to Green Card
Hi everyone, hope you all are okay. While I waited on my applications to be approved this forum gave me a lot of hope. Reading others stories helped me calm down and be patient. So here is my story, I hope it helps.

I was adjusting status from F1 to GreenCard Holder through marriage to a LPR.

Married-------------------------------- 05/28/18
Sent in I-130, I-130a forms------ 06/04/18
Heard nothing for months.

Sent in I-485, I-765,I-864--------- 08/22/19
Bio metrics done about 2-3 weeks later.
Heard nothing for months.

I was working as an intern and I was graduating at the end of the year. My graduation (DEC 2019) passed and still nothing. I spoke with the international office adviser at my school and she said that i should file another I-765 through the school to maintain Good Standing with my F1 status. I know the USCIS says when you file I-485 that you are technically considered as "Adjusting Status" and not "F1" but my advisor said to make sure that there wasn't any grey area and that i should file an I-765 with my school so I did.

Sent in I-765----------------- 02/03/2020

Surprisingly on the 02/18/2020, my EAD from my original filing (08/22/2019) was approved and being mailed. I received my EAD about a few days later.

But it doesnt stop there, on 02/20/2020 my I-130 was finally approved.

Case is ready to be schedules for interview ------- 02/25/2020
Interview --------------- 03/17/2020
Received Green Card ---------- 03/20/2020

Everything happened within 3 months. I got my Green Card 3 days after the interview. Don't be worried for the interview as long as you are being honest. Its simple.

Also, I file using no lawyer. My husband and I read through the documents and instructions and we used the guides provided on CitizenPath.com.

Also, I had to withdraw my I-765 that I filed with my school since I got my Green card before it could have been processed.
