Country of Birth - " UNKNOWN" in EAD Card
Hi All,
I need your advice on my current scenario:
I have my 140 approved and my wife has recently applied for H4- EAD two months back and she got the EAD card today.
The Country of Birth is printed as Unknown on the card,I went back and checked my I-765 form and seems like i mentioned only the City name, as it was in her Indian passport and not the complete State and Country details.
I spoke with the USCIS customer care and they said that unless I can prove that its a mistake from there end I have to re pay $ 410 for the new I 765 application to get it corrected with all the documents and old EAD card as well.
I have below questions in this scenario:
1) Has anyone faced such scenario? IF yes what was your approach
2) We are going ahead and filing the new application form with $ 410, can she apply for any jobs till she gets a new card
3) If answer to question -1 is yes can she start working on any job if she finds one before the new card is issued.
Appreciate all you help in getting this resolved.

RFE on Birth Certificates
Hi,
I received an RFE today on my I-485 application regarding the Birth Certificate. "You have submitted secondary evidence and/or a birth affidavit as proof of the applicant's birth record. However, the evidence submitted is not sufficient."
I am surprised to receive this, cause I have submitted the following:
1. A separate Affidavit from my Mother and Father dated Aug-2002.
2. Non-Availability Certificate from the Government of Andhra Pradesh, Department of Medical & Health (Vital Statistics) on Form-10 signed by the Registrar of Births and Deaths in the year 2002.
I am not able to understand of why I am receiving this even though I have submitted as per the prescribed formats in both the Affidavits format and also in the Non-Availability Certificate form.
However they have accepted the above same certificates in the year 2002. I received my Greencard then in 2003. Later in 2010, I returned my Greencard in Hyderabad - USA Consulate, due to some personal reasons since we all moved back to India permanently. Now we came back to USA and filed the GC again through my US citizen wife.
Appreciate if someone can help me.

Hi,
I arrived in the US on the fiancé visa and got married on 01/21/17
We send all the documents in for I-131, I-485 & I-765 which were received on the 02/09/17
I attended my Biometrics on 03/23/17 and I'm still waiting to hear when I will receive my EAD & Travel combo card. I submitted my application to the Chicago lockbox and I have my Biometrics taken at St Louis MO.
Any one else have experience with these two offices and how long it usually takes to et the EAD. I'm on day 77 now.
Everyone else on here seems to be getting theirs quite quickly after biometrics! Mine is staying saying 'Case Recieved'

Alittle worried
Filed AOS through marriage to USC. Still haven't received EAD card yet.

As of 05/01/2017 We still haven't received the EAD card.
Is this normal what should I do next?

my your form I-765 is with status January 10,2017 we received your Form I765. And info that they sent me a notice for my Bio that already pass.
My I485 is with notice that on march 29/2017 they received my response of evidence.
When I have to expect my Ead or schedule for interview any suggestions

It's been so long for me!
Hey guys,
I am getting a bit discouraged about my case. I married last year and got our paperwork sent December 24th. It's May 1st and I am still waiting for my Employment card. I've been requested for more evidence TWICE. First it was in february, and now April 27th again. I believe this resets the process to zero again. So does this mean I have to wait 90 more days after I send evidence again?
I had a really goof job offer and they Said they would wait for me until last week of June. Don't really know what else to do. Any suggestions? This has been my TL:
December 28th: Documents received by USCIS
February 6th: Biometrics taken
February 16th: Received request for more evidence
March 20th: Evidence received by USCIS
March 23rd: Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview
April 27th: Notification of request for additional evidence being mailed.
