EB2 row
Had my interview on Aug 23. Interview was not easy but IO said that everything is good on her end. Afterwards, I had a status updated to "Interview is completed and the case must be reviewed"

On Oct 9, got a message "We ordered your new card", then in 1 minute back to "Interview is completed and the case must be reviewed" and then in 1 more minute to "Interview Cancelled and Notice Ordered"

I called USCIS customer service, talked to 2nd tier officer asking what do these messages mean because they are somewhat confusing, and she said that she only sees that my interview was completed at this point.

Wonder if anyone else is in the same boat and hope that Aug/Sep cases start getting processed

Interview Information
I have my interview scheduled for November and I am worried if my case will enter on retrogression or no.

I do not understand that much those two dates table (Dates for Filling AND Final Action). Which one my case will be considered?

Currently they are:
Dates for Filling - 01JUN18
Final Action - 01APR17

These are my info:

EB1 - All Areas

I485/I131/I765 Application: May 29 2018
Fingerprints: End of June (I don't remember exact date)
EAD/AP Card Received: Oct 4 2018
I485 Ready to Schedule: Oct 5 2018
Interview Notice: Oct 13 2018 (case still waiting for schedule interview at USCIS website)

One more question: what kind of question does the IO use to do? I am printing and bringing pretty much the whole information my attorney have submitted.

Address change I-485 pending
Dear fellow waiting applicants,
Our EB2 I485 application is pending and we are waiting for the interview notice. We recently had to move to a new address and I notified USCIS through their change of address website.

After a few days, we received a notice saying that they have updated our address in their systems and on my application or petition.

Now yesterday, we received letters at the new address that after careful review of our request, they have forwarded our service request to the National benefit center because that office that has jurisdiction over our case.

Is this normal? Could our case be delayed as a result of change of address (notified within the 10 days)?

Last update Finger print fee received
Hello folks, my timeline is as:
PD: 12/16
I-485, I-131, I-765 receipt date: 7/23/18
Bio-metrics: 8/21/18

No update ever since. No combo-card yet. I have seen some people getting update (finger prints were reviewed) in their status following their bio-metric appointment but nothing in may case.

Not sure if no change in status after Bio-metrics is something to sweat about?
Does anyone have any idea?

Thanks you in advance

EB-3 experience
Hello All,

My time line are as below,

PD: April 2008
i140: June 2008
485, 765, 131 filed : end of May 2018
Biometrics: 6/25/18
Combo Card receipt: 8/17/18
Interview notice: 8/20/18
Interview: 9/25/18

Interview went well, went there more than an hour early, called in 10 minutes past my interview time, interview was normal, 485 application questions on name, DOB, parents information, asked to explain work history. yes/ no questions.

Explained about the visa retrogression and apologized for it. But, should receive in 2 to 3 weeks as visa's will be available on October 1st. If not received please use the customer service number or info pass advised by I/O. He congratulated and advised don't go out of country till receive the green card.

No status changes online, my status changes didn't really show until later through out the process. It is still showing interview scheduled. Our company attorney did contact the USCIS on October 1st as visa's became available and he got response back that the case is still under normal processing time frame.

Called by myself today, and explained the situation and the CSR couldn't tell me any more that what I know, she advised that I will have to talk to Level 2 support officer.

Level 2 office also advised that my case is waiting to be assigned an officer to make the final processing. Please allow 2 more weeks to month, it will be taken care of. But was very understanding and courteous in explaining USCIS situation, didn't say processing time are 13 to 27 months or anything like that.

Let's wait and see. Overall, if the case is legit, prepared correctly with all required details and supporting information, there shouldn't be any worry, case to case the processing times are little different. My AOS process to this point lasted 4.5 months from the time I have filed. Wanted to share my experience.

Moving the residence to the nearby State hoping to get intrvw date earlier -CT to MA
Hi Experts,

Would you please advise on the below:

Mine is Employment Based petition and current state of residence and work is Connecticut

Hence my field office is Hartford CT

Hartford is a heavily backlogged field office which generally calls for interview after 10 months.

Hence I am planning to move my residence to the neighboring state MA. MA has two field offices - Lawrence and Boston. And they are fairly fast.
If I move, my new field office as per the new zip code of residence will be Lawrence MA

So, if I can implement my plan successfully, my residence will be MA and work location will remain the same - CT.

Do you think there are any caveat or danger with this plan? Please advise

Visa Retrogression
We do have other folks who are in your same situation with the cases being current this month, but are awaiting for GC issuances (after they had completed interviews earlier).
Let’s hope we hear in the next few weeks (the most likely reason for slight delay is because USCIS field office had moved all those cases that they had completed the requisite interview back to the national service centers. And now, the service centers have to pull and sort through and review once more and then issue I-485 approvals). So, that really is a workload issue for them.
Of course, should we hear anything in the mail. In Astrology, the Surya has moved its position and things should get normal by Dec end and Jan 2nd wk. Just hope that they should not keep some of oure files under some new files. Good luck to all of us.
