L1A to EB1C green card
Hello all,
I plan to apply on my own with out an attorney. Applying from current L1A to EB1C category. I appreciate if you guys can contribute to the steps if you did went through it yourself as well.

I understand that first my employer files an I-140 petition on my behalf. So the question is if no attorneys is involved, where do I get the form from and where do I submit them? Online or through post?

What other forms can be submitted in parallel? What are the supporting documents that are needed? and where do i submit them. I am based in Boston MA.
Thank you very much.

Interview experience

I would say that most employment based interview are just for formality sake. Mine lasted for roughly 15minutes if not less. Checked in 35 minutes to my appointment. I was called in at 10am but that was because that was because the interview officer was reviewing my application before he called me. We went to his office, I took an oath and he took my pic as well as my fingerprints so he went on to tell me that he had looked at my application and that it looks okay but I'd he wanted to be sure that I maintain my status all the while that i have been in the United States. Thankfully because I'm still a doctoral candidate, I was able to provide my enrollment verification letter and also I gave him my current I-20 and the I-20 for the school where I did my masters. Then we went over the yes/ no questions in the I-485 form after that he told me that he was going to approve my case because it looks good and that was visa is current. He said he would do that later in the evening since he had to interview other cases that it will take about few weeks or month to get my GC. However, I just barely left the office and few minutes.. infact at 10:24am, I got a notification saying "card in production"... Now waiting for the physical card.

I am very grateful to God for the Journey. It's been a long wait with a lot of uncertainties.

My candid advice to anyone out there. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.
* I was told my I-140 would never be approved because I didn't have my much accolades.

I applied for EB2 NIW as a doctoral student with NO PUBLICATION AT ALL. I have just been able to present in 3 academic conference. Mind you, my application was approved without any RFE and no Legal counsel or advice ( I can't even afford a lawyer with my stipend). This is my truth, and I am sharing it to encourage someone out there.

Finally, Good luck to everyone. We keep pushing!

Let me know if you have further questions.

EB1 India current?
Hi all, I was wondering if at all EB1 for India and China will be current this FY? Some people are saying it will be current past Dec 2018. Others are suggesting that there will be a cut off date for the entire year. I do not understand the rationale behind these guesses. Any thoughts?
