EB1 Process
Hello All Experienced guys,
My I-140 is approved under EB1 and need to file I-485. But priority date is March 2018 which is not open.
Right now I am preparing to file it and submit documents once priority date will be current. My employer doesn't do I-485, So I will have to be my own. I have approached Murthy Law - but their charges are way too high. Any other suggestions. Can I submit documents by my own? When do we do medical?

EB2-ROW
After interview the officer gave me a white paper with following selected.

"Interview is complete and my priority date is not current that's why they cant make a decision at this time. Once it becomes current thn they will take decision."

What does it mean? Can someone explain me this?

In interview they are just verifying everything you wrote in I-485 form.

EB2-ROW Interview Experience Dallas Field Office
Hello everyone !

I am a silent follower of this site and appreciate everyone for their valuable inputs. Wanted to share my experience as well. I just completed my interview today at Dallas field office and it went smooth. The officer told me to wait for October 1 as they will be starting issuing visa for my category at that time.

My timeline:

PD : May 17, 2017

LC Approved: Dec 29, 2017

I-140 ,I-485 , I-765, I-131 concurrently filed on April 3 2018

I-140 approved: April 14, 2018 (premium processing for EB2)

The lawyer used older version of forms for I-485 so it was returned and we needed to resubmit it using latest versions on April 12.

Biometrics done: May 21

EAD AP Combo approved and card received: July 5

RFE for Supplement J: July 7

RFE responded : Aug 2 ; Received by USCIS Aug 8

Interview Scheduled: Got update in status check website on Aug 21 for interview on Sept 25. Received the letter (interview notice) after 1 week

We did our medical exam after receiving interview notice.

Interview done: Sept 25 at Dallas .

The officer just asked some basic questions like name , dob, address ; asked for EVL and lateset 2 paystubs. Did not check other docs (not even passport/ EAD combo cards !) . I had a typo in the address field of my previous us address, told the officer , and he corrected it. He also corrected another typo in my wife's form when she pointed that out.

Officer told that I can expect to get some notification letter by 2nd week of October. If everything works as expected I hope to get the card by end of October/early November. Let's see what happens.

Thanks !

On 9/20 I received a notice of interview was scheduled and would sent me the letter, However, today I got another notification that interview was cancelled. Why was it? And what’s the reasons for cancellation? Should I be worried about it? Or just wait for new schedule time? Thanks a lot!

Change of employer before PERM approval
Hello,

I worked with company A on H1b from Jul 2015 to Jan 2018 and than i joined company B on Feb 1, 2018 through H1b transfer. In april 2018, my old employer company A offered me another position for which they had PERM approved and i accepted it subject to approval of my GC and they applied for I140 petition which got approval in June, 2018. Now my AOS has been billed on 8-29-2018 and i need someone to answer following questions and provide any suggestion;

 - Shall i join company A as soon as my EAD is received
 - If i get AP in next few months would i be able to travel on AP or should i get the H1b visa stamped using the petition from company B
 - Would it be a probelm during my interview that i left company A and join company B and now i am joining back company A (reason being better opportunity)

Please provide your suggestion or any feedback

Questions about employment letter
Hi All,

I am preparing my interview document next week. I saw many people bring the employment letter with them to the interview. However, when I was preparing for PERM and AOS submission, my lawyer only asked for the employment letter from my previous company. They don't ask the employment letter from my current company but I assumed they got it directly from my company. I asked them last week if they have the employment letter from my current company but they said they can't provide I-140 document to me. Is that the case? Or should I ask my company directly about the employment letter?

Please help me!

Sincerely,

CY

Travel while I-485 pending?
This forum is a great idea. I filed I-485 under EB2 ROW in August '18. I-140 approved, biometrics done. Has anyone traveled outside the US while the I-485 is pending? My understanding is I can come back into the US after a short trip under my H1 visa with no impact on my I-485 filing?

EB-2 i-485 interview preparation
Hi,

My EB-2 i-485 interview has been scheduled in a few days. I saw that one of the common questions that is being asked is my current job description.

How much details in I should answer this question ? Should I just give a brief answer in 4/5 lines (i.e. I am a Java programmer , develop software etc) or I should give a thorough answer like I would give for a job interview ?

Please suggest me.
