Still waiting for Green Card after Interview
I had my interview for my Employment based green card EB2 ROW on 27th of November, 2017. We submitted our I485J supplement during the interview. IO told that you should hear within 1 week. But still I am waiting to hear any thing. Can anybody guide me why there is so much delay and if its normal. My case was in Nebraska Service Center before.

Can employer halt your I-485
Hi,

I have received combo card and waiting for interview call. It's been 6 months since I submitted I-485 application. I am planning to go self-employed (personal LLC) now. As per lawyer, my application is safe now and employer can not screw it now. I would like to hear from experts' opinion on this valuable forum!

Thanks

L1 extension after I140 approval
Hello,

I got my I-140 approved in Nov, 2017 and now the I-485 is pending. It is EB1C so the priority date is current, I had filed the I-485 in June 2016 so expect it to be processed soon.

My L1-A visa is expiring in March 2018, although the I-94 is valid till Nov 2018. Am I allowed to apply for L1 extension after I-140 is approved?

Thanks.

Silent reader and little late...But want to share our journey!!

EB2 NIW
April 2014 - PD
Nov 2014 - I140 approved

March 2017 - Upgrdaed to EB1B
March 30 2017- I-140 approval
Apr 13 2017 - I-485,131 and 765 filed (Me and Spouse)
May 11 2017 - Biometrics done
Jun 21 2017 - EAD/AP combo approved
Nov 14 2017 - GC in production
Nov 21 2017 - GC mailed
Nov 27 2017 - GC recieved

Note: We were never able to track our status for any of our processes using USCIS casestatus "during" the process. However, once the case(s) was approved, the system did recognize the receipt number and showed status accordingly. Inbetween the process, we always got an error messages that the case was not recognized. Called customer service once and they couldn't track either but they assured that the case was received and being processed. Afterwards, we never bothered to know.

Also, no RFEs during the process.

Thank you to those who shared their journey and good luck to those who are waiting!

New card being produced -EB3,concurrent , jan 17
Been on here and **** * everyday and these forums were very helpful. I believe my gc journey is completed today . For anyone interested or looking for case updates , below are the details.

category : eb3
type : concurrent ( regular , not premium)
Also filed for spouse i485 .
Received date for 140 was Jan 17,2017. For both i485s ( my and spouse) was Jan 19 , 2017.

SR raised for 140 on 10/13 , no response received though they said it was sent in mail.
Another SR raised for 140 on Nov 20, generic response received on Nov 24.
I-140 approved on DEC 1,2017.

Raised SR on 1485 of spouse application on Dec 18. Response received on email ( never got paper mail ) on 22 to wait for 60 days.

Received sms/email notifications today about my case updates. After 30 minutes, received another chain of notifications for spouse i485.

Both i485 says

'On January 5, 2018, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number SRC **** *' .

So I believe that is approval as we did not apply for any EADs.

I believe my medical would have expired in about 2 days .

I485 approval pending;status of a child
Hi,

Here is a query regarding status of a child while I485 approval is pending.

When an employee applies for GC via his organization, he gets the EAD while I485 is getting processed. This will allow him to work and live at United States even if his visa is expired.
How is it handled for a school going child. Just like EAD, will a child be given any other card that will enable him or her to continue stay at United States and proceed with the studies. Lets consider that the child's visa is expired.

Regards,
Ammu

EB3-ROW Courtesy letter from USCIS
I-485 application filled- 08/24/2017
Transferred to NBC from TSC- 11/28/2017

On 01/03/2018 received a courtesy letter from USCIS to submit two passport-style photographs at the interview. It says DO NOT MAIL DOCUMENTS. My question is, I did not receive any interview letter yet. Does this mean that the interview is already scheduled? Anyone else having same experience?

Living in USA mandatory while I485 pending?
Hi,

I have my EB1 I485 pending approval. I am an Indian citizen living in Canada as I have Canada PR and working in USA on H1B. I have advanced payroll approved. I commute 5 days a week to USA for work. I read the forums that during AOS interview, officers ask for US address proof, US drivers license. I understand for AOS interview, the office will be in USA which I can attend. I do have a usps PO box for mail correspondence in USA.

My doubt is - Am I supposed to be living in USA while I485 is pendng or is it ok to be liging outside of USA. Please advice. Thanks.
