Interview:
Location - Miami , FL
Our lawyer was with us

Oath, i485 questions, marriage pictures and asked how we met and when.

We gave our work documents (letters, company account, brochures etc.). But officer told us that he doesn’t need work related documents because he is sure that the second time we filled the case they checked everything more than enough and more detailed.
Checked our medical and told us “Thank you. You’ll receive the answer by mail”.

Officer was joking and the atmosphere was very friendly and good.

We wish everyone gets their GC as fast as possible.

If you have any questions- please ask.

GC Timeline
Hi everyone,

This forum has helped me a lot during my journey, so it's time to give back to this community. During this period of my life, I've had so many hopeless days, felt exhausted and tired, but I kept believing and hoping. And finally, I have my card in hand today. For those who are still waiting; I know how hard it is, but it's coming just hang in there.

Here is my timeline:

EB3 - ROW

PD: January 2018

PERM Audit Received: July 2018

Audit Response submitted: August 2018

PERM approved: September 2018

Concurrent Filing I-140, I-485, I-765, I-131 with Premium Processing: October 2018

I-140 approved: November 2018

I-765, I-131 approved and Combo Cards Received: December 2018 (right before Christmas)

I-485 Transferred to the NBC: December 2018

Courtesy Letter Received (medical forms requested): May 2019

Interview was scheduled: May 2019

Interview Date: July 1st, 2019 9 a.m.

*Our interview was okay. There weren't jokes or warm welcomes. We took an oath, IO asked basic questions, asked all the security questions and he cross-questioned us about our marriage. I brought all the documents, copies in different folders, everything. He took what he needed. The atmosphere was intense which made me nervous even though I had nothing to hide or to be afraid of. Anyways, in the end, he said that he'll wait for the background check and review it with his supervisor again and if everything looks good he'll probably approve our case. So, he did not say congratulations, he just said he'll review it again and make a decision. No paper was handed to us. We left the office, our status changed to "Interview was completed and case must be reviewed" immediately after. And it got stuck for 4 months, no update at all.

Our case was retrogressed and we've waited until our dates become current in October 2019 like many of you did. And after 4 months of wait, on November 3rd, we have received our approval letter in the mail. (online status remained same) Next day our status changed to "Card was mailed" and we have received our cards today!

GC in hand: November 9th, 2019.

After 2 years of waiting (actually more like 2.5), it's time to take a deep breathe and plan ahead..

Good luck to everyone!

Notice about decision after interview?
Hi all, I had my EB3 interview on October 30th and per my lawyer feedback, it was a very smooth and uneventful interview. In fact, it only lasted about 20 minutes. At the end of the interview, the IO handed me the white paper that has three options and marked option 1, and told me that it can take up to 60 days to hear about them. I have been checking my status online and yesterday I got a text notification saying this:

On November 4, 2019, we sent you a duplicate notice about a decision on your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxx, or describing how we will process the case if it is still pending.

Your case is located at our National Benefits Center location.

Please follow any instructions in the notice.

If you do not receive your duplicate notice by December 4, 2019, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice.

If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I have a little bit concerned because it says that my case is now at the NBC. Also, I have seen many people who got approved, they receive the approval notification online and mine only says that they sent me a letter with a decision. Should I worry about it? It has also been 6 days since they mail the letter and I hasnt received it yet.

Any thoughts?

Thank you!

Short Travel outside US after GC interview (during retrogression)
Hi,
Anyone travelled outside of US after their interview during retrogression time?

I have all valid travel document for like Advance parole, EAD card etc.

My GC interview was completed in Jan’2019 which went great and IO gave positive feedback. Then I moved to other state with same employer but other client location in June’2019. Also applied for change of address.

Now I am planning to travel to my home country,
However I am worried if, USCIS may schedule another interview?

Also while returning at US port of entry, do immi. Officer give hard time?

Appreciate your feedback if anybody has gone through similar situation?

Patience Test is Over Finally!
EB3-ROW
Phoenix AZ
PD: 09/07/2018
File date: 01/29/2019
ID: 08/28/2019 (hit by the retrogression)
I-485 approval notice arrived in mail: 11/04/2019
GC arrived in mail: 11/06/2019 (70 days after the interview)

The online status was "Interview was completed and My case must be reviewed" until 11/07/19. As I have seen this pattern, most cases don't get updated online. Just keep an eye on your mailbox for the approval notice and your green card. Hopefully this never ending patience test will be over soon for you. Good Luck and wish you the best
