Look for your updated status
Don't just look at your status at egov but also at "https://my.uscis.gov" because I did not get any update from egov but my latest status at https://my.uscis.gov is "Case was approved" and got my approval notice today.

Letter from USCIS incomming
Hi all,

I'm still waiting for my green card (interview under retrogression August 26th) but today I got a USPS update showing me a letter from USCIS is incoming. Is that a good sign or a bad sign? Has anyone gotten any notice from USCIS while waiting for their green cards?

Thank you in advance, this thing got me a bit stressed out

I-485 interview experience at Fort Smith AR
Hi All,

I have been a silent follower of this forum and this forum really helped me a lot while preparing for the interview

Following is my timeline:

Employment based: EB1C
Country: India
Priority date: January 2010 and is current

02/28/2019: Applied I-485/I-765

03/30/2019: Finger printing

08/12/2019: Received EAD for me and my spouse

08/21/2019: RFE issued for my kid's I-485 never got the copy in the email, finally called L2 officer and got a soft copy of the RFE.

09/03/2019: Ready to be scheduled for interview for all 3 of us

09/24/2019: Interview scheduled for 10/31/2019 at Fort Smith AR

10/31/2019: Appeared for interview

Interview was scheduled in the first slot at 8 am, we reached the office at 7.30 am but the doors were only opened 10 minutes before.
Went through airport style security and waited in the interview area
Officer called us in at 8.15 am
Administered us the oath
Asked to sign the attorney waiver sheet
Went over the personal details for me first and then my wife like our name, when we arrived, parents name, which was last port of entry.
Asked me employment specific questions like if I am still working for the same employer who filed my I-140
Handed over EVL and last 3 months pay stubs
He made corrections to our addresses since we had moved since we filed
There were some minor corrections on my wife's and kid's form
Asked us around 20-25 of the yes/no questions
Took our signature for the changes that we made
All through the interview there was lot of casual talk
In the end the officer said there is no issue with our case and he will approve the case in the evening, also added that his management asks him to tell applicants GC receive timeline of 6-8 weeks but from the experience other lawyers who come to his office and his clients they have received within 1-4 week so he said the timeline is 1-8 weeks.

My case is not yet updated and it still says interview scheduled, there is no update like interview completed or needs additional review

Is it normal for the status to not change after the interview?

And now the wait begins to get the actual GC in hand.

Retrogression-EB3-ROW-NYC-Approved
This community has been my companion during this long wait. Thank you for that.
Status finally changed this morning to new card being produced. Sharing my details below:

PD:7/5/18

Receipt date:11/10/18

ID: 7/15/19

FO: NYC-Federal Plaza

Status changed to new card being produced on11/2/19. From no update since June “Interview Scheduled”

I only received an email notification this morning saying “we took an action on your case”. I had to login to the portal to see the status change.

I will pray for all of you. And to those affected by retrogression like myself, I want to say try to live your day to day without this distraction. I was feeling very pessimistic but then I received the magical email. Just know that the card is in your pocket already.

Happy to answer any questions.
