GC Timeline
Hi All,

I have just received my green card and decided to share my timeline as well. Even though I-485 is out of scope for premium processing, I still requested my employer to file them concurrently. I'm not sure if that helped or not but I've read somewhere that they usually don't bother separating the forms and start processing them together.

11/06/2019: Cards Arrived in mail

We arrived at our interview about 30 minutes early, went through security and ID verification, and settled in the waiting room.
The officer called us right at our interview time and told us she'll try to do both of us at the same time. My wife told the officer her English is not great and asked if I can translate for her if she doesn't understand. She told her not to worry about it and said she'll make sure to explain it in a different way for her if she doesn't understand something. That gesture itself took away all of our anxiety. In summary, She:
- Administered us the oath
- Asked for our medical exams and put them in our file after verifying.
- Asked if I still work for the same employer and if everything is still the same.
- Asked if I have any documentation from the employer, I handed in the Employment verification letter and recent pay stubs.
- Placed our files side by side on her desk, and started going through out I-485 forms at the same time verifying our names, DOB, addresses and etc.
- Made minor corrections to the form as we went through the questions
- Asked about a fourth of the infamous admissability questions
- Took our signatures
- Told us that everything looks complete and our priority date is current so she'll try to submit it the same day and we should get our cards in 2-4 weeks.

Overall we had a very pleasant interview experience with a genuinely kind officer. The interview took about half an hour.

And this concludes our GC journey which took almost 2.5 years including the labor certification process etc.

I wish everyone gets their GCs as fast as possible.

Good luck!

EB3 ROW Case must be reviewed
Hello all,

We were interviewed on oct 24th 2019 and it was a standard interview. At the end of the interview, IO told us we will hear back decision in 1- 2 weeks and we will not have second interview. There was no update in our case until yesterday so I called the USCIS. After speaking to rep, about an hour later case status changed to Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed.

Anyone is similar boat and know how long is the wait now?

Thanks in advance!

Approval notice in the mail
Hello everyone,

ID: 7/1/19 (EB-3.ROW and retrogressed) and today we have received a mail saying that our case is approved! However, there is no status change on the website.

I've read several posts about this, so many people received the approval notice this week only via MAIL but not online. That's very interesting but also wonderful news of course! (still can't believe) I am just so curious how long it will take to receive the actual card..

Because it's been a very long wait for me, I feel like it'll take some time to get the card in hand. Any thoughts???

(I'll share my entire timeline when I receive the card in hand :) )

Finally over
I just got my approval notice through the mail. No updates what so ever by text or by email or via the multiple USCIS websites/apps. I'm so happy, I was losing hope day after day.

Started the paperwork for the PERM May 4th, 2018
Got it done and submitted by Dec 20th, 2018 (My priority date)
Got my PERM approved April 3rd, 2019
Started concurrent filling for my I-140/I-485 right away
Scheduled medical appointment for Apr 9th, 2019, received results on Apr 12th, 2019
Filed Premium I-140 and I-485 on Apr 24th, 2019
Receipt Date Apr 25th, 2019
Got the I-140 approval notice back May 10th, 2019
Heard back from USCIS Jul 16th, 2019: Interview was scheduled
Interview at SF field office on Aug 26th, 2019 (took 30 minutes, no tricky questions, I had all the files with me): Hit by retrogression
Got the I-1485 approved Oct 30th, 2019 and the noticed arrived by mail Nov 4th, 2019.

The card should arrive soon.

Online status still shows: "Interview was scheduled", it's been exactly 111 days today.

Thank you so much for everyone spending so much time here to help others in need and for putting together this spreadsheet to make sense of the post-retrogression approval rates. It was life-saving!.

Best of luck to all of you! You're almost there!
