EB1C - Newark
Hi All,
Been reading this forum for a while so thought I would share my details as it was useful for me to read what was happening with everyone else.

I filed concurrently and am currently on an L1 visa.

Category: EB1C - Rest of the World
Priority Date: 8/30/17
Biometrics Completed: November 2017
i140 RFE: 6/27/18 (Had to send more payslips going back for a few years)
i140 Approved: 10/10/2018
i485 Interview Ready to be Scheduled: 1/11/2019
i485 Interview Scheduled: 1/14/2019
i485 Interview Date: 3/4/2019
i485 Interview Cancelled on 3/3/19 due to weather and was then changed to 3/8/2019.
3/8/2019 - received notification that card is being produced.

Interview was in the Newark, NJ Field Office
I/O was very friendly, took the oath and then he asked some general questions about my job and what I do then went through questions from the i485 form. I had answered 'No' to all the questions regarding being arrested/cited etc., because I haven't and it was the truth. Though I did tell the I/O that i did get a speeding ticket a few years ago, I wanted to ensure I was honest with all my answers. He was happy with my response and the answer on the form was still 'No' to these questions. He did not ask for any evidence regarding the speeding ticket.
The interview took around 25 minutes. Once completed the I/O let me know he was going to approve me and I would get a response via email in the next few days. He gave me the standard form that folks here are talking about, where it states 'Your case is being held for review'. I got an email about 2 hours later that my card is being produced. Nothing has updated online though for this, so I will trust the email.

Like others have said patience is key here. But the most important thing is to be honest with all your answers and get all the relevant paperwork prepared accordingly, then you have nothing to worry about when it comes to the interview.

Good luck everyone!

My experience
Not a regular user but benefited by this forum. So here is my timeline/experience

EB2/ROW
Service center: NBC
FO: Manchester NH
Non-concurrent filed on 7/20/18
FP/Bio: 8/21/18 (No change in online status, no finger print review completed status)
Pink courtesy letter for no medicals: 11/19/18 (issued on 11/14/18)
Wife EAD/AP approved on 11/20/18
My EAD/AP approved on 12/4/18
Ready to interview: 01/25/19
IV scheduled: 1/26/18
Notification received a week later,
IV on 3/6/18

IO was very nice, took out 5 y/o daughter with us. IO made her comfortable first, gave her papers, crayons, her blanket to sit on and chair. Then formal proceedings including oaths and attorney waiver signatures (interviewed both together). Environment was very informal yet professional. She had couple of confusions but i provided documentations and she was happy. Also told her about speeding tickets. She made a note.

Whole process took about 1 hr. Told us at the end that she is happy and satisfied and would recommend us for approval. Has already requested the visa for us (i think before start of IV). She said she just hav to complete some administrative processing and iff all is good, you should receive notification within an hrs or so. Got a notification of new card production within an hr.

**** **** My take home points are:
Never fret on no change in status, it causes anxiety otherwise they are not accurate. If you are receiving regular updates, that is good but if there are no updates, then no worries, this does not mean that your case is not moving. Our status changed from finger print fee received to ready to schedule IV.

**** *** Courtesy letter most likely means that the review is completed and you are very less likely to receive any REF. However, when will you get IV notification after receiving letter depends on you FO. Wait may vary from weeks to months. I waited 10 weeks before receiving IV notification.

Good luck everyone.

DS-260 Question on Family Information: Previous Spouse
Hi All,

I need your help...

When writing DS-260, enter information about divorce. Don't you have to admit a divorcee? I would like to proceed with my current spouse permanent residency, but do I have to enter the divorce information or if there is any disadvantage in advance? I want to know.

My concern is that I applied for a U.S. job visa in the early 2000s, but I applied for an H4 visa with my ex-wife and divorced two years after I got a job visa. The problem was that divorce records were deleted so that no divorce termination information existed. I have no contact with my former spouse, no way to find any date for marriage / divorce, no way to find any official documents. Honestly, I want to hide this record anywhere.

When we review the DS-260, we will probably have a record of the former spouse H4 when applying for a H1B visa. Do we have to enter the DS-260? I don't know if it's really a problem.

For your information, the current spouse doesn't know anything about it.

I'm sorry to ask you a difficult question, but I'm very nervous. Please give me a review opinion.

Thank you

EB1C India
Hi - I am EB1C India - priority date May 17,2017 . Got my interview completed jan 07,2019 and case sent back to NBC because of retrogression.

When I check case processing times - it says I can raise SR for cases earlier than Jun 08,2017. With this can anyone who has similar experience , please confirm

1) if raising SR will help my case or until the EB1C priority date becomes current nothing will move ?
2) Once the priority date becomes current - normally how long does it take to get the 485 approved.

Advance Thanks and any help/information will be greatly appreciated.

Its been a loooong anxious wait for me ...

Finale
Here's my time line. Finally received GC in hand today. Happy to answer any questions from my personal experience though mine is a straightforward case. Have included as much details as I can, hopefully it'll help future applicants who google to get answers. Stay positive and be patient.

Filing Type: Non-current I-131, I-485, I-765. EB3 ROW.
Priority Date: 6/12/2017
Package Sent: 3/5/2018
Package Received by USCIS: 3/7/2018
NoAs via Email/Texts Date: 3/20/2018
NoAs via Mail Date: 3/26/2018
Raised Service Request over the phone on first week of May 2018 as I observed most applicants have their biometrics appointment shortly after checks were cashed.
Biometrics Appt Notice: 5/18/2018
Received EAD card:6/5/2018 (valid for one year)
Biometric Appt: 6/8/2018
Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview: 8/14/2018
Received interview notice: 9/3/2018
Interview: 10/4/2018 Newark,NJ
Was told at the end of the interview because of the retrogression that ended on 1Oct2018, need to check the availability of visas and unable to approve on the spot but deem our application as favorable. I was naive enough to think that because my interview is after 1Oct, I will not be affected by the retrogression but it is not true. FO did not mention that files will be transferred to TSC/NBC. The letter provided states that SR may be raised 120 days after interview. I called USCIS once in Dec2018 and all the representative said it's within processing time for TSC which is like 20+months and I can only raise SR after it is out of processing time, which is contradicting to the letter that FO gave me.
Received I-485 Approval Notice: 02/04/2019 (from NBC, did not receive transfer notice. Case status not updated online so it was a surprise to receive an update just before the 120days that I can raise SR. I was also concern about my Medical because it was done in Jan 2018 and was half-expecting a RFE for a new medical. Approval letter stated to receive GC in 3 weeks)
After 3 weeks did not receive GC, raised SR online for non-receipt of GC.
Card Ordered: 02/25/2019 (One day after raising SR, case status updated online)
Card Mailed: 03/04/2019 (Case status updated online)
Card Received: 03/05/2019 (Enquire on USCIS live chat today for USPS tracking number and reflected that it was delivered)

It's a happy day and glad that I can put this endless googling and reading of forums behind me.
