Question about lease
Hello everyone,

My wife and I dated for 3 years and got married last summer in June. I applied for green card in August through my wife who is a US Citizen. Since getting married, she has lived in Illinois while I have worked in Southern California. She lives with her parents while last year i lived with my relatives in Southern California (hence no lease to my name). However in August, we signed a lease in Illinois (a lease to live with her parents) while I continued working in California. This is the lease we included in our application and I use this address as my permanent address.

In January I moved to Northern California for work and signed a lease for my current apartment. My question is should I add my wife to this Northern California lease or should I leave her out of it? I am leaning toward adding her to the lease (as this is further proof of us doing things together) but worried if that is going to annul the Illinois lease we signed.

Thanks so much in advance

I-130 advises
Good night everyone!
I'm currently in my naturalization process and after that I'm going to file an I-130 form to my wife and daughter. They are living abroad so I was worried about the processing time. I live in Fl so I must submit it to Phoenix office.
I would like to know about your experiences and some advices about what kind of documents I should have. It would be great!

I was reading about all this process and I was wondering if a K-3/K-4 visas are recommended?

Thank you for your help!

Help
Hi guys. It's been 15 months we are married. I filed my paper work almost a year ago and no interview yet. The past 2 months are the worst time since we lived together(year now). We argued so much for nonsense stuff. She even put her hands on me couple times but I never call the cops for any report. Now she accusing me of cheating without any proof and asking me to move out because I left my house and move to hers. I'm not cheating, I don't even have time for myself. She constantly going trough my phone but never found anything. It's just so much going on. Her job is not steady and I'm the one who provide everything to support her and her daughter. I work a lot so when I come home I want to relax, not argue over nonsense stuff. I'm getting tired and can't take it anymore. Now I'm really thinking to move out so my mind can be peaceful. We both agreed to leave separately now to see if things going to get better. My only issue is that my case is still pending and I want to move out. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Green Card/ H1B
I am working on my STEM OPT which is going to expire in August 2019. by the time my F1 visa is also going to expire in May 2019. My company has filed my H1 last year in 2017 but it wasn't picked up in the lottery.
I recently got married in December 2017 and my wife is a permanent resident, she obtained her green card in July 2017.
According to the resources we have found online, it will take me around 2-2.5 years to get a green card. So we are planning to ask my company to file my H1B this year also and meanwhile, we will file my green card on the bases of our marriage.
However, I really want to change my job ASAP.
What would be the best way I can maintain my visa and employment status?

Green cate through marriage
At the end of December 2017 I sent packet with forms to Chicago lockbox. My and my husband live in Florida ( Fort Walton)

January 8 2018- paperwork received
January 15 2018- received 3 letters 797C

On one letter they said that NBC from MO is handling my case and that next step should be receiving my biometrics.
February 7 2018 I made a service call because it was already 30 days and no biometric appointment. ( was told to wait 15 days) . I was given a reference number.
February 13 - no updates ( not even online)

Is is normal to wait so long for biometrics appointment ?

Online support
Hello there!
Unfortunately, I know from my own experience (or to be more precise, from the experience of my close friends) how long it takes to reunite with your close relatives in the USA. As my friends have no extra money on immigration attorneys they use online services
https://usimmigrationforms.com/ - this one was really good. They got all the necessary guidance concerning a family based green card and other available opportunities for immigration including job visa h1b and student visas. They applied for family reunification through this website, filled online forms and got smoothly through some tedious legal formalities.
I think such web services are a big relief for people who are going to sponsor their relatives and to reunite with them. It spares them money and time.
What do you think about completing immigration forms online and online attorney services? Can you share your opinion? Maybe you know other websites that will be helpful for those who face immigration issues?

Unfair treatment
I'd like to share my experience with everyone who is still waiting here for his/her EAD.
I think people need to know that there is unfairness to the process for a lot of people.

Marriage based (US citizen)
PD: September 21st (case received NBC)
Biometric: October 5th
1st SR: December 1st
2nd SR December 29th
Still waiting for the EAD 126 DAYS !!!

Both SRs weren't answered so called the customer service yesterday and asked about my case, the guy told me that both SRs are still pending which means that my case is still pending (after 125 days!). He transferred my call to an officer, the officer said that the "90-day timeline" is not the standard timeline anymore and his "educated guess" is that I have to wait another 3-5 months because the officers are working on June 30th cases now. I asked what is the new timeline then if 90 days isn't, and the answer was and I quote "depends on the officer that has the case."

I have contacted my lawyer and he told my that from this year, he has noticed that applications from certain places are taking way longer than the expected time, specially the middle east (how surprising). Unfortunately just because my name is Mohammed, my EAD card is going to take longer
I am an educated man with a PHD degree and a family to take care of, I am eager to start supporting my family and apply the knowledge I have for this country.

I not a complainer, but waiting for 6-9 months to get the EAD only is ridiculous !

I have contacted the Ombudsman and congressman because I feel that I am being discriminated against and they are now enquiring about my case and the reason for the delay.

People who are waiting for longer than the processing time should start contacting the Ombudsman or the Congress representative in your area, otherwise you will be waiting for way longer time until the office feels like looking into your case.

interview results
Had my interview at the Los Angeles office yesterday. The interview went pretty well even though we were separated. After the interview the IO handed us a "Notice of Interview Results" paper.

It said "you have just completed your interview. At this time USCIS is unable to complete your case at this time.

Three reasons were given but the one that was checked for me says
"Your case is being held for review. At this time uscis does not require any further information or document from you ....blah blah blah

The last paragraph says "Please allow for no less than 120 days before making a status inquiry.
We presented lots of documents and the IO was nice too......So i was wandering ....

Is that the notice they give to anyone who isn't approved on spot?.....
Your response will be much appreciated.....

From DFW area
Good day beautiful people. I’ve been a silent reader on here for few months now. I filled in my application my case through a Lawyer my uncle introduced to me. I was suppose to do everything my self cos I’ve got couple of friends that did it their self and it works for them. But my uncle insisted I should use a lawyer. That it makes the process very fast. I don’t want to argue with him because he’s a college professor. They think they know better, lol. I went to Houston to meet the lawyer. My self and my wife filled out every necessary thing at his office and gave him every necessary documentation. He said he’s going to contact my uncle in regards of the affidavit of support. Cos my wife was doing a program that didn’t make her work for 2years. To cut the long story short. This Lawyer Sent the application without attaching the affidavit of support, he said if they petition it then he’ll send it.. I called my uncle he said the man didn’t ask him anything from him. Since they are friends the Lawyer said he’s going to contact him. That I shouldn’t bother my self. I was so pissed. He Sent the document on the 14th of aug, my priority date was aug 21, I did my thumb print on the 12th of sept. The USCIS sent a letter for additional info for affidavit of support on the 20th of sept. My wife called the Lawyer to send all our documents. That we will do the rest our self cos she was very angry. I couldn’t get my uncles tax info for another one month. Cos he was out of the country. So I had to use someone else. I sent in the additional document on the 24th of October. Since then I haven’t hear anything from the USCIS. I’ve called and call. They keep telling me they will get back to me in 15-30days. Does anyone has a similar issue. I’m sorry for my long comprehension.
