Hi, I have attended interview on 15 th december. I got 221(g) and they mentioned that "Not in Jan 2006". I don't understand that what is meant by this. ie. either I have attend before December 31st or After Jan 2006 (not to attend Jan). Pl help me in this.

Hi All,
Thanks for posting ur experiences(i am also waiting my day turn with best hope).
My employer got an RFE on october 25. They replied for it on December 9th . But still the online status is not changed(vermont centre) any body is having a similar experience?. How long it may take usually for approving the papers after RFE answer ? Please share ur thoughts.

I was interviewed by a lady consulate officer.
She greeted me with a smile & saying Hi.

Many thanks to all of you in this forum for sharing your experiences which really helped me in my preparation.
About me: 3+ years of experience and currently with a Top 5 US Consulting Organization in the area of Oracle Applications.
I've Non-IT Engineering (BE) specialization and MBA with Systems specialization.
I had applied for H1 under their Business Executive Program (BEP) and was refused B1 for the same employer some time back.
On the Interview day, I reached an hour early. Here is the chronology of events that took place:
1) 15 minutes before the schedule, the lady at the entrance verified the letter of appointment, Fee Receipt and Passport.
2) At the security; frisking, issue of wooden token (need to handover while exiting).
3) At the entrance Counter; asked about my Passport, Letter of appointment, Fee Receipt, I-129, I-797. Handed me a pink token (with a number on it) and a green envelope with all the documents including DS-156, 157 and drafts.
4) Fingerprinting: First counter; took fingerprint of index fingers (both) kept the green envelope.
5) Waited in the launge with the pink token and all the certificates.
6) After half an hour my no. was announced and was asked to queue at counter no. X with the pink token.
7) At the counter VO asked:
a) For the Pink Token.
b) For how long I'm with ZZZ.
c) If I been to US before.
d) Where will I be going.
d) Name of the Client I'll be working for.
It took around 30 Secs for the volley to get over before the VO finally issued a visa, gave back my I-797.
8) Handed the wooden token to the security personnel at the exit.
Here's what I guess, helped me:
I was in a formal attire, wearing a tie and the company ID. At every stage I was greeting the officer with a smile.
I had prepared myself well for the expected and was also anticipating some out of the blues...
Overall, I felt having proper documents, confidence while answering, body language (looking into eyes while answering) and accuracy while answering (like going to city of YYYY in the state of YYY) certainly create a good impression, apart from our credentials.
And above all, having faith in God and self.

i got 221(g) from consulate.
is 221(g) is same for all people? they asked me w-2 forms.
diff 221(g) are there depending on situation and required documentation.

regarding ds-156
i filled ds-156 onlne and took the printout.
i submitted the same at consulate, one of the field i mentioned incorrect so again changed it manually and submitted to embassy 1st time.i got 221(g)
1. if we submitted ds-156 to visa officer ,is they stored these details in database?
if i fill ds-156 again in online is it cause any discrepancy?

H1B Query
When i attend for Visa Interview on 7 nov 2005.VO asked my Degree Certificates and told that my degree is not supporting for H1B,then i showed my Experience in Computer field then she told that ,petitioner should Contant US Embassy in US and she gave me one Document in that document she has written to send photo copies of my Experience letters through VFS Drop Box.
when can i expect the result of H1B visa after sending my Passport,Experience letter in DropBOX. Will they call to concern person which i mentioned in the DS-156 form for verification. Kindly Reply ASAP. Thanking You.

I appeared at Delhi consulate on 29th of Sep. Second time @ Chennai on 2-Nov and third time on Dec 13th.
Whether you require a new appointment or can appear without appointment, depends on what is mentioned in your 221(g) form.
