First of all, I am very sorry to post my experience very late.I thank everyone who have posted their experience.This is a very good site for preparing for H1B interview I have come across. I had a interview at 10.30 am on 29th Nov. So I went to consulate at 10 am. But there
was a huge rush. They only let me in at 12.30 pm.
Here is the interview details
me:good afternoon
VO : Good afternoon.
VO: You are having bunch of documents :) ? (looking at my 4 folders)
me: Yes sir.
VO: Where is your wife's application? (looking at my DS 156 and 157)
me: I will be going intially. My wife will join me later.
Vo: You have done Engineering in ?
Me: I have done Bachelor of Engineering in xxxx
Engineering sir.
VO: Can I see you degree certificate?
me: Showed the degree certificate.
VO: Looking at the requesting letter given by my employer to issue visa for me...What are you going to develop for in this project?
me: Explained what i am going to do...10 sec answer..1 sentence answer.
VO: turned to PC screen entering some details.
VO: I ganted the visa for you. Your passport will reach you along with your visa through courier within 3 days.
me: Thank you sir.
Tip: Be confident in what you say. make your documents very clear. Dont leave any gap. All the best to future H1 aspirants

Got H1-B for myself and H4 for wife
Hello all
Me and my wife had an appointment with the consulate today and it was a good experience.
The lady officer was very friendly. The following questions were asked (order maintained).
VO>How did you 2 meet?
ME>Ours was an arranged marraige.
VO>Who arranged it?
ME>My parents met her parents and then things started to move and we finally got married.
VO>How long have you been married?
ME>almost 2 years
VO>Why did you go to Europe?
(I had been to germany earlier)
ME>For a business visit
VO>How long have you been working for your current company?
ME> almost 2 yrs
VO> what is the ZZZ(the us company) company?
ME> blah!!! blah!!!
VO> Why is her (my wife's) last name not as same as your last name?
ME> There is a procedure to get the name changed and we have not yet started it.
VO> I will grant you both the visa's
ME> thank you.
Thats it!!! ..The officer was good and polite cause i didnt hear 2 questions correctly which i asked her to repeat.
TIPS
Confidence is main. Secondly dont lie anywhere. Dont lie in the forms as well. If everything is true, the officers are not against giving visa's to proper cases.

Got 221(g).... Shell i take my wife next time
Hi friends,
VO given me 221(g) on 28 nov. I am planning to go for interview with in few weeks. First time i went only alone, Is it possible take wife this time?.(i.e. second time). Is there any problem.

Got 221g in chennai consulate
I attented my H1 i/v on dec 1 in chennai consulate.
My appt time was 4:45-5:00pm but I reached consulate 4:05.
they let me in immediately, I was surprised to see not any rush.
at most two ppl were there at every counter..I have came out within 1/2 an hr..
Here is how my i/v went...
VO: How are you doing..?
Me: I am fine. (gave my papers to him)
VO: Can I see your graduation..?
Me: Sure (I gave my graduation certificate..)
VO: (Looked at it for few secs and returned back...) What are you going to work at united states..
Me: I will be working for YYYY company. I will be put up in YYY project. Project is done for ZZZ client (here i guess i made a mistake.. i might not have mentioned about client, anyway thats mentioned in my employers letter)
VO: (he said client name again) ZZZ...?
Me: yes..
VO: Do you have a letter from ZZZ client stating that this project exist..?
Me: I dont have letter from ZZZ, but have a letter from my employer ZZZ..
VO: Are you going to work for ZZZ or ZZZ.?
Me: I am going to work for YYYY only..he is going to pay me..only the project I do is for ZZZ client..
VO: I understand that...
Me: (I was trying take out my company profile from my file)
VO: No..I dont need that...
VO: (updating application status on his system and took a blue 221g from and wrote get a letter from ZZZ... ) I am not convinced that you have job waiting for you there..(I tried to say something..but he said first listen to what I am saying and continued) basicaly I need a letter from your client that this project exists and complete itinerary of your trip. you can come again for i/v as per instructions in the form...

So be careful..If you are saying about client..be sure that you have a letter from client..

I got 3years Multiple US VISA. I have attended to DELHI embassy though I should not because that was my first time to the DELHI embassy and I dont have any visa rejections on my passport and I did not get an appointment date in CHENNAI.
Questions that I have asked by interviewer during VISA interview are
1. How did you know about US company.
2. Will it be your first visit to US.
3. Offer letter
4. US company photos
5. Tax Returns and w-2 forms
Be confident while you answer questions during interview and dont answer the question by looking sides that shows that you are lying.
